Located high in the forest in the heart of Mohican, this secluded 3 bed Rustic A-frame on a 22 acre private parcel, features a hot tub & fire ring surrounded by towering trees. Inside you will find a main floor Kitchen, Living Room, Bathroom and Bedroom and a second-floor lofted bedroom that overlooks the living room. The lower level has a pool table, bedroom, and a full bath.
Driveway notice: Drive way is long and steep. 4 wheel drive/All Wheel Drive is recommended in the winter.

We enjoyed our stay, the property had everything we needed, loved the hot tub. Only negitive we experienced was the loft had tons of flies. We could not find how they had gotten in and they were only in the loft.

The Relaxing Stay we Needed!

We booked this stay to get away from the craziness of our lives! But I didn’t know was that I was going to have an unexpected surgery right before our vacation. This stay was such a blessing that allowed me the time to rest and recover and allow my family the time to play outdoors and me the peaceful recovery that I needed! Everything was wonderful! The cabin was clean. And all communication was prompt!

Pleasantly comfortable

The cabin is clean, and quiet. The water can start to run cold pretty quickly while showering. Check out can be a bit much having to remove all bedding from the rooms. Overall stay was nice.towels used and place in the living room.

Great country getaway

The views from inside and out were breathtaking. The chalet was so cozy and welcoming. We loved knowing we were tucked away in the woods, but not far from near by towns for a quick restaurant or sightseeing.

The cabin was a Perfect get away. It’s secluded and cozy yet so close to everything. The host was super responsive to my questions also, which made things really easy.

Perfect spot!

This property is the perfect spot to stay at Mohican. We enjoyed spending our day hiking, canoeing and then being able to come back and relax by the fire and in the hot tub. It’s super close to everything. I would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Getaway in the Woods

Cabin was perfect for our family during the stay. Ample privacy from the neighbors, quietly nestled up in the hills/mountain. Well maintained, clean and comfortable. Couldn't recommend enough for a couple day stay away from home!

It was everything we wanted! Secluded but close enough to things we needed and/or wanted to do. Having the pool table and hot tub were a plus and being able to have our dogs with us was great! They also loved it. We would definitely recommend to others and will probably be back! to do.

Great weekend stay

Just as listed -perfect for 6 adult family members. Cozy, clean and well equipped. Really enjoyed our family time and hiking in the park. We were a little late for enjoying fall foliage but enjoyed the campfire! Didn’t use the hot tub but looked clean. Would stay again.

Birthday getaway

This is an adorable cabin in the woods. Morning coffee on the deck with nature was a awesome way to start my day. The weather wasn't cooperative, but we played pool and cards (luckily supplied by host). I always enjoy a spot where my dogs are welcome and they had fun scoping out the property as well.

Family get away

While easy to access and not far from the main road, the property had a feeling of seclusion and privacy due to the abundance of trees. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub day or night with no outside noise or disruption. The deck and firepit were very nicely appointed but due to the weather, we didnt spend much time outside except to get to the hot tub. The house itself was very clean and well stocked with all we needed. We cooked all our meals in the house and appreciated the well equipped kitchen. No shortage of dinnerware, pots and pans, utensiles and quality appliances. Beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding and towels. Overall, great experience and we would happily stay again at the Rustic Chalet.

Amazing weekend trip

We booked this trip last minute to celebrate our engagement. Being winter in Ohio, the weather conditions were unfavorable. Drew reached out to make sure I knew 4-wheel drive was a must to get up the driveway and offered to switch our weekend to another open weekend if we didnt want to travel during the bad weather. He made sure the drive was as clear as possible before our arrival and to let him know if we had any issues. The driveway is steep and can be icy in spots but if you take your time and have 4 wheel drive youll be fine. I gave a 4 on cleanliness because there were some dead bugs around but I feel like thats to be expected because youre in the middle of the woods. Would definitely stay again! We had a great time celebrating.

We stayed at the cabin with our two dogs. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and there were a lot of entertainment options like a hot tub, fire, pit, grill, pool table. It was secluded enough to feel like we were in the middle of no where with a beautiful forest in the back, but had easy access to Mohican state park. Highly recommend.
