Summary:

Modern, luxurious and prime location. All three in one just for you. Open plan, with top of line king size mattress for a great night sleep. Inspired by a pronounced interior designer from our sunny San Diego. Including a sofa bed for extra sleeping space. The natural light in the unit is astonishing to say the least. You have the view of downtown San Diego just outside your window. We welcome you to enjoy the scenic night view right from your unit.



The Neighborhood:

We are on the corner of Fir St and Sixth Avenue in San Diego. Right across Sixth Avenue is Balboa Park, one of the top destination attractions San Diego has to offer. You will find amazing Museums surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Walking through Balboa Park you will also find a lot of local vendors and artists. You can do your morning run at the park and enjoy Sunny San Diego. Conveniently located on sixth avenue and a CVS a block away from outside of the building. You will be within walking distance from restaurants and coffee shops.

San Diego Zoo,

San Diego International Airport

Seaport Village,

Little Italy,

Gaslamp Quarter,

and San Diego Convention Center are minutes away by car or a short Uber/Lyft ride.



Getting Around:

Having a vehicle is ideal anywhere in California but not necessary when staying at this apartment. You will find many things are at a walking distance or short Uber/Lyft ride. Electric Scooters available around the building and you can ride or walk to Downtown San Diego, Little Italy and Balboa Park Museums. The San Diego airport is 2.4 miles to our apartment, that is usually a couple minutes’ drive.

Neighbourhood scary

The host was somewhat responsive. The neighbourhood was very sketchy and homeless people were everywhere. It was always unnerving coming home at night or leaving as soon as the sunset. The location was pretty central, which is the only reason why we didn’t find another spot. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have young children.

Cozy space in a convenient location

The room was clean and well-furnished. There was a small table with 4 benches as well as a TV that we didn't use. The mattress was very comfortable, but the pillows were strangely thick. It would be nice to have some thinner pillows as well for side sleepers like myself. The second bed was a futon that would probably be too short for the average adult to sleep comfortably. A mini fridge, microwave, and basic cutlery are provided. Those was very helpful for eating leftovers throughout the trip. Extra towels were also available which was very convenient because it rained heavily for two of the days we were there. The various key codes for different gates/doors were a bit of a pain, but they did provide a feeling of better security. The paid parking also felt secure. The only safety concern we had was with a tent encampment across the street. There were often people yelling and fighting not they never interacted with us directly. As described, the unit is next to Balboa Park and a very short drive to various restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the convenience of the location. The property manager was responsive and polite. We never felt like we were missing information, but when we did ask questions we got a response very quickly. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend it to friends and family.
