Desert Haven
Between the excellent communication with the property manager, and the abundant amenities (snacks, breakfast, drinks, toiletries….) Casa de Amigos was perfectly outfitted for our family’s stay. The home has two bedrooms in the main house and a bed plus fold out sofa in the detached game room (a converted garage). The home was impeccably styled in hip southwest vibe and appears to have been recently renovated.
Only Two detractors:
There is only one bathroom so those sleeping in the game room had to come to the main house for that need.
And we had a bit of a tough time seeing all the stars clearly from the property due to a bright security light outside the game room that couldn’t be turned off.
Overall the home was perfectly styled and secure. A wonderful location for journeying into Joshua Tree National Park and surrounding areas. The home had multiple guide books for the park and nearby restaurants and shopping. The supply of local coffee, a fabulous fire pit, horseshoe game and sweet hot tub were a great diversion for all of us. Our kids didn’t want to leave after two nights due to the well stocked game room (darts, air hockey, pool table, ping pong and all sorts of board games). We plan to be back on our next journey through the desert and will certainly recommend it to friends. Seriously one of the best accommodated rentals we’ve ever visited.
