everything about the house always amazing. Clean, relaxing, had every amenity to make the stay 100% better. Would 10/10 recommend if you are thinking about wanting a lake getaway trip!
We spent a peaceful Fourth of July weekend here, and it was perfect. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming, and the house is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for a relaxing long weekend. We felt right at home in the cozy cottage, and the lake was clean and beautiful. We would gladly stay here again!
My family absolutely loves this place. So cozy and comfortable, just right for our family of 5. The kids love the pedal boats and kayaks and fishing right off the dock. Such a beautiful peaceful place. One of our favorite vrbos ever!
We had an incredible time staying at this little lake house! It was beautifully decorated, was thoughtfully stocked with items we'd need during the stay, and there was so much to do here (thanks to the host) between the paddle boats, kayaks, a fire pit, fishing poles, and dart board. This little lake was perfect, with many nooks and crannies to explore on the boats, as well as lots of fish, turtles, birds, etc. The host was also very quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing outdoorsy getaway!
One of the best mini vacations, ever!! My family and I felt right at home. The host was awesome. The house had everything we needed, including supplies, that made the trip even more enjoyable. This place is a keeper. My family and I plan to return during the summer!!
Everything was thought of in this wonderful cottage/cabin. Impecable cleanliness and top of the line amenities. Kayaks and Paddle boats were used each day and although not a single fish was caught, a great time was had by all. Will definitely be back!
We loved our short time at the Bluegill cottage! The property was clean, nice, and offered plenty of things to due. The owners were very quick with responses and willing to help in any way!
This place was perfect!! We rented it for 2 nights to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Close proximity to Lake Livingston State Park and Livingston. We also visited the Johnsons Rock Shop in Indian Springs East of Livingston. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quite. You can hear the birds chirping in the morning, see squirrels playing and enjoy the beautiful lake view. We did not fish or build a fire as it was a drizzly weekend but we very much enjoyed the stay. The cottage has all the essentials and then some. I also got two bullseye on the dart board!! Very nice place to stay. Wr highly recommend!!!!
My son, his wife, and I stayed at Blue Gill Cottage for 2 nights. The house was well stocked with nifty kitchen items, comfortable beds, and things to do.
It was a perfect spot for a short weekend stay. Accommodations were as advertised. The neighborhood was quiet and hoping to go back and enjoy the outdoor area when we have more time.
This was our 2nd time staying at Blue Cottage :) We thoroughly enjoy this little lake house and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to stay here. It is a great place any time of the year! We love that there are kayaks and a peddle boat to go out on the lake—we bring our own fishing poles but the life jackets are also provided. The smart TVs in every room allow for your own preferred entertainment. Along with card and board games! It is also located only 10 minutes from Lake Livingston so you can go explore the offerings there as well. Down to the little things that really matter—I can’t tell you how many times one of us forget our toothbrush: the owners are generous enough to have disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathrooms! Along with other miscellaneous items like womens needs, other hygiene items, shampoo and conditioner, dish wash soap in the kitchen, ziplock bags for leftovers, laundry soap for clothes washing—these are the things that really, really mean a lot and make it feel like home during your stay. We always look forward to spending time here! Thank you for sharing such a great place with us :)
This peaceful lake side property was clean, thoughtfully stocked and a wonderful place to relax for the weekend. We enjoyed coffee on the dock listening to birds each morning, and kayaking in the afternoon. And spent our evenings around the large fire pit.
Absolutely enjoyed the weekend, even with a little rain. Will be booking this place several times a year! The house is extremely well kept and comfortable. Had a great time playing darts on the back porch. The fire pit area was amazing in the evening. Enjoyed taking the kayaks out with my son to go fishing. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying!
I was looking for something quiet and peaceful to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was a great location, very peaceful, and right on the lake that allowed my husband time to do his favorite hobby - fishing. Will definitely be back again.
