There is a local bear that will get into the trash. We have a bear proof bin on the property.
There is a chain and lock on the bin that has to be completely secure and locked or the bear will be able to slightly open the lid and pull out trash.
NO recycling should go in the big green bin. The blue recycling bin is just for recycling, NO TRASH.

This was a beautiful place to stay! The rooms were big and the living spaces were accommodating. Our family really enjoyed the house, nature and the storm that blew through! We want to come back during winter!
Property was beautiful I enjoyed the outside scenery as well as the inside very open and big, didn’t feel like I was crammed wall to wall. Hosts were laidback on rules I didn’t have to worry to much didn’t have the glass house feeling. Rooms were big too. Two living rooms and garages were perfect for adults and kids. When I visit Yosemite I would stay there again
This was an excellent choice for us. The house is beautiful and well-maintained with all the amenities that we expected. The upstairs bath tub was a big hit! And the location was very convenient for day visits to Yosemite. The host (Arista) was responsive and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
We had so much fun celebrating my birthday in the Red Oasis! It was so great to have all of my friends and dogs around. The property was very private but not too secluded (no weird "cabin in the woods" vibes were had)
We were so close to the Mariposa Grove so we checked that out on our first day. Then we headed back to the house and spent time playing ping pong and corn hole (we brought our own corn hole)
The kitchen was great for cooking meals and they even have an air fryer!!
The master bathroom is gorgeous and huge and the birthday bath experience was everything I could have asked for and more.
We had one issue with a lightbulb. (how many blondes does it take to change a lightbulb? lol) We sent Arista a message and she came by 30 minutes later to fix the problem. It was so great to have such a helpful host!
After checking out we were able to head into Yosemite Valley which was pretty close!
I loved this place and will be back!!
We had a wonderful experience. While on the property, we saw wild turkey, deer, quails, and other types of birds. It was absolutely gorgeous. The location is great to go to Bass Lake and also to take a trip to Yosemite. I would definitely stay again.
A small group of friends and family spent the weekend here and had an amazing time. The property is absolutely beautiful, and there was plenty enough space for seven grown men. Arista was easy to get ahold of through the VRBO app and was always quick to respond. The master bathroom is AMAZING, and the bathtub was exactly what I needed after hiking Willow Creek and hitting some cold plunges at Angel Falls. The ping pong table got plenty of use as well, and the garage was a good space for us to do some yoga. Everyone loved the property and before the weekend was over, we were already brainstorming another trip.
The property was tucked on a hillside and offered quiet views. We enjoyed the family room setting, spacious master bathroom with the soaking tub, and cooking in a beautiful kitchen! It was a little
over an hour from the house to Yosemite Valley. We would happily stay at the Red Oasis in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Arista Flanagan
I have worked in the Hospitality industry since 2006. Everything from housekeeping, maintenance, guest services and property management.
I run my own family owned business, Flanagan property services. My husband and myself as the owners.
I moved to the mountain area when I was 7 years old. When I met my husband I told him if we got married I was not moving out of the area. He was from Danville. He said okay. We have been living in North Fork ever since. Spending our summers swimming in Bass Lake. Camping in Fish camp. Visiting Yosemite.
I look forward to hosting you and making your vacation a memorable one!
