Fenced Yard /Dogs Free, 700SF Deck, King Bed, Hiking, 30 min -> Asheville
THE PROPERTY: This 2 bedroom house is the perfect size for friends or family who need just need 2 beds but also want the convenience of a house with a fenced yard and their own outside space.
Located on a flat lot in the mountain foothills, the house is minutes to Hendersonville (a vibrant Main St small town). Go a few minutes further and you can explore more mountain views and trails than you can cover in a single trip. Breweries, wineries, shopping and dining...we've got that too!
Dog owners will love the that they can open one of the 2 sliding doors and the dogs will be in the large fenced yard. The 700 SF deck can also be enclosed via gates to keep the dog out of the yard. Your dog doesn't do steps? That's ok...it only takes 1-3 steps to go from the deck into the yard. You'll also find a fire pit and horseshoes game in the yard.
The house is a one-story newer home with open floor plan. The main living space is vaulted with wood ceilings and pet friendly wood LVP floors. The family room area includes a couch (not a sleeper), 2 easy chairs, desk, upholstered chair, footstool, reading lamp, books, games and puzzles. There is also a Roku smart TV (sign in to your own apps or watch free movies on Roku).
You'll find 2 bedrooms (each with one bed - king in the master and a queen in the 2nd bedroom). There are also 2 bathrooms with tub/shower combos. One is off the master and one is for the rest of the house.
With just 1-step entry to the front door, large open great room and a flat walk from the car to house, it's also the perfect home for seniors and adults with disabilities.
Feel free to bring 1-3 dogs (with approval). Just tell us a bit about your pets for approval. Dog beds, bowls, toys and blankets to protect furniture from shedding/dirt are provided.
There is an attached owner's studio and your laundry is located in a shared area (I don't use that laundry but my office is located off the same hall). Otherwise the only shared space is the parking area and no one will go into your house or yard other than the weekly visit from the lawn guy.

ACCESS: You'll have an easy to remember code to get into the house using SELF-CHECK IN. Every guest gets a unique code, and it only works during your stay. So you'll never have to worry about a prior or future guest being able to get into the house during your stay or keeping track of keys.
You'll have the house to yourself except for 2 locked closets and an attached studio. Guests staying for 3 nights or longer will have access to the laundry area (guests staying 1-2 nights just need to ask). You have exclusive use of the deck, front porch, designated parking spots (2) and the fenced yard.
The attached studio apartment is occupied by the owner. The unit has a completely separate fenced area on the opposite side of the house from your fenced area. There are usually 3 small dogs occupying the studio but prior guests said they didn't hear any noise from the studio.
WHAT'S NEARBY? The town of Hendersonville has many restaurants plus several grocery stores just a few minutes away. There are more trails and mountains to explore than you could see during a single visit, so you can easily socially distance and stay safe while on your getaway.
If you are bringing dogs, you are 5 minutes from a 66 acre former golf course turned into a park, with tons of space and paved trails for you to walk your on-leash dog. All off-leash dog parks in the area area also free for you to use.
The Blue Ridge Mountains, Dupont State Park, Pisgah National Forest, Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure, Asheville, trails, mountains and waterfalls are all just a short drive away.
This house IS in a rural area. You will hear dogs, chickens and other animals in the distance at times. Since there are wild animals in the region, you are asked to bring in all food and food/drink trash after dark or secure the trash in the property trash cans. Dogs should also not be left outside after dark without owner supervision.
PLEASE NOTE: We have never seen a bear, coyote or raccoon at the property, but they are in the region so it makes sense to not do anything to attract them.
HOUSE RULES: ** NO FIREWORKS ON THE PROPERTY ** ** NO SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE ON THE PROPERTY ** ** NO PARTIES OR GATHERINGS WHICH INCLUDE PEOPLE NOT APPROVED TO STAY OVERNIGHT AT THE HOUSE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING ** ** NO LOUD NOISE, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT - PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE NEIGHBORS AND THE OCCUPANTS OF THE ATTACHED STUDIO ** ** ALL GUESTS TO SLEEP IN ONE OF THE 2 BEDS - NO OVERNIGHT SLEEPING ON THE COUCH, COTS, ROLLAWAYS OR SLEEPING BAGS, AND FURNITURE OTHER THAN CHAIRS NOT TO BE MOVED

Arrived to an immaculate house furnished and supplied with all we needed. Karen allowed us to bring our dog and had all supplies and necessities for him too. The gated yard was perfect for him to play fire pit was perfect and she had extra wood she generously said to help ourselves. We would love to come back.
