Cubby's Cove at Water's Edge Cabins

Welcome to the Cove, a fully-furnished suite nestled along the banks of our one-acre lake. Located in the lower level of our all-wood cabin, this suite has a fully furnished kitchen, complete with a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave. We provide complimentary coffee, tea, popcorn, and delicious cookies.

No stay is complete without taking advantage of our outdoor grill, located on the 10'x24' deck overlooking the water. A picnic table is available on the large deck so you can enjoy an outdoor meal or two. You can also sit on the rocker swing and soak in the beauty surrounding you. One can easily fish along the log railing off the deck, or off the grass-covered banks close by. Fishing is free and the rods are provided, but please respect our catch and release policy.

Watch the stars come out while making s'mores over a campfire near the water, then go indoors and fall asleep to the night sounds in an Amish-crafted, queen log bed. Enjoy our nearby gas log stove that provides the Cove with a homey feel.

The Cove has a full bath with a shower and lovely pedestal sink, as well as a corner Jacuzzi, which sets under a window overlooking the beautiful water. Towels and washcloths are provided.

This location was amazing. We wanted to get away from the busy life and Amish country was a great destination with Cuby’s Cove being an even better stay. We felt so isolated but not too far away from the shops and restaurants. Will definitely come back many times in the future.

Cubby’s cove was wonderful for us and our dog. We loved the location to Berlin. Cabin was very clean. Communication with the host and onsite caretaker (Maria) was wonderful. Cubby’s has a great setting on the pond. Fire pit just a few steps away with wood provided and fishing gear too. Would definitely return to cubby’s or one of the other cabins at water’s edge.

We come every year for our anniversary. We stay at Cubby Cove. It’s the bottom part of house. You can just walk out on deck to fish if you like. Pretty decorations inside and very clean. The only thing I missed this year was the fountain in the lake. We will be back next year.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Ohio Amish Country for 20 years and we love every aspect of it. The sights, the sounds, the smells, and especially the people! When the chance to buy this cabin came along in 2021 we just had to own a small slice of Ohio's Amish Country.

What makes this property unique

The cabin sits on the banks of a beautiful pond less than 1/2 mile from the downtown shopping district of Berlin, Ohio. Enjoy the peace and quiet at the end of a fun day of shopping and eating at the surrounding businesses. Maybe even take in some time fishing in the pond!
