This spacious cabin sits across the road from Desolation Hotel and is located within a quiet cluster of charming cabins. Large, wrap around deck overlooks the beautiful Carson River in which you can fish, swim or just listen. This Cozy Cabin is nestled in a landscape of pine and aspen trees which bring you back to nature.

You are 14 miles from So Lake Tahoe and 14 miles to Kirkwood Meadows. Enjoy year round casinos, skiing, water sports, restaurants, and so much more, yet after a days adventure, you can return to the peacefull serenity of Hope Valley. Gardnerville and Carson City are just a short drive away as are the hot springs of Markleeville.


Location: This custom log cabin is situated across from the famous Sorenson's Resort and located within a grouping of small adorable cabins. Located 25 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, 20 minutes from Kirkwood Ski Resort, and 25 minutes from Carson City. Located 4 hours from San Francisco Bay Area and 2 hours from the Sacramento Valley. This cabin is located right off of Highway 88/89 very easy drive into one of the most beautiful landscapes you will ever see.

Cabin Details: This beautiful property has been in our family for 3 generations. This is a place where memories will be made and kept forever. This Cozy log Cabin is nestled in a landscape of pine and aspen trees which bring you back to nature. The large wrap around deck that sits on the bank of the Carson River with a swimming hole and rock for sunbathing can be enjoyed by all. The amenities are absolutely incredible--you can relax and turn off the technology if you please,Very relaxing and we promise you'll want to come back again:)

What a great cabin in Hope Valley! We've been coming up here for many years and always loved the fall as the aspens are changing colors. This cabin was perfect as it was set among the aspens as well as being right next to the West Carson river. Easy access to the river as well with some good fishing pools.The cabin itself was great and cozy. It also had things to keep our little one entertained. And there was a high chair if your little one needs one. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity! Thanks for having us!

Wonderful stay close to skiing!

Everything about this cabin was incredible -- the smells of the timber, the sounds of the stream just off the back patio, the fireplace crackling through the evening. Can't wait to come back again in the future!

Markleeville Stay

One of the best places we’ve stayed in a long time. Great location, friendly neighborhood and inside the cabin was amazing. The owners communicated with us very nicely and promptly over the VRBO app if we had any questions. If you’re looking to stay in the area, this place has to be your choice.

Beautiful location 15 minutes from South Lake Tahoe and 20 minutes from Kirkwood Ski Resort. We enjoy watching the river that runs right through our property. It is a unique and prime location. There are very few cabins in our area.

This property is unique and very special to our family. The deck that extends over the river is the perfect spot to sit and listen to the river and take in the beautiful scenery. There is so much charm in this special area it just grabs at your heart. We love this special place and are happy to share it.
