This guest arrived to the property nearly an hour prior to their check in time and called to find out how to enter, without ever reading any correspondence that we provided. The procedures we have for reservations are very simple, but require that guests read and follow basic instructions. I'm sure it would be convenient for every guest to contact me by phone 24/7 to have me walk them through checking in, but that is not realistic for a manager with hundreds of check-ins per year and people arriving at different times of day and often in the middle of the night. With regards to the outdoor space, we perform landscape maintenance throughout the week continuously on this large property, but try to avoid times when guests are staying so as not to disturb their quiet enjoyment of the space. The dead crow could only be seen by actually approaching one of the sitting areas and not by casually walking by. So we did not know until after the guests stay. Guests must remember they have some responsibility to read information and also report on anything they are not pleased with, or needs attention. We are here in a forested area that changes constantly due to wind, weather, animals and nature in general.
