Whispering Canyon: Your Private Mountainside Retreat!
Seconds from the Parkway. Minutes from the Peaks. Miles from the Ordinary.
Experience the quintessential Smoky Mountain getaway at Whispering Canyon, a sprawling, multi-level log home where modern luxury meets "cabin in the woods" charm. Tucked privately into a lush canyon with no neighbors in sight, you’ll enjoy total seclusion—despite being just a 3-minute drive from the heart of Gatlinburg.
Why Large Families Love Whispering Canyon:
The Ultimate Location: 3 minutes to the Parkway and Ober Mountain; 4 minutes to the National Park entrance (bypass the traffic!). Triple-Deck Living: Three massive, full-length decks—one for every level—featuring rocking chairs, a propane firepit, and a bubbling hot tub. Space to Breathe: With three distinct floors, the kids can dominate the lower-level game room while the adults enjoy wine and mountain breezes in the loft. The Wild Side: We are located on an active bear trail! Watch for local black bears from the safety of the decks for an unforgettable Smoky Mountain memory.
Three Levels of Comfort & Entertainment
The Main Level (Gathering Space): Step through the front door into an open-concept great room designed for togetherness. Chef’s Kitchen: Fully stocked and ready for pancake breakfasts or family dinners. Dining for 10: Plenty of room for everyone to break bread together. Primary Suite: A King bedroom with a jetted tub, separate shower, and direct access to the main deck and BBQ grill. The Upper Level (The Quiet Retreat): Second King Suite: A private sanctuary with its own full bathroom and deck access. The Loft: A cozy "getaway" spot featuring a Queen sleeper sofa, a board game table, and a reading nook. Perfect for remote work or a quiet afternoon with a book. The Lower Level (The Ultimate Fun Zone): This floor is built for the younger (and young at heart) members of your group. Rec Room: A massive 65” Smart TV, sectional sofa, pool table, and arcade games. The Bunk Suite: A clever "sleepover" room featuring a twin-over-full bunk and a full-over-full bunk, plus an attached full bathroom. Relaxation:
Step outside to the lower deck to soak in the private hot tub. Modern Essentials:
We know convenience is key for large groups. Whispering Canyon includes: High-Speed Wi-Fi & 6 Smart TVs: Log into your own streaming apps from any room. Stress-Free Access: Easy, paved roads with no steep mountain drops to navigate. Starter Kit: We provide coffee pods, paper products, and spa-quality toiletries to get your vacation started the moment you arrive. Ready to start your Smoky Mountain tradition? Book Whispering Canyon today!
(Note: To protect our local wildlife and your family, we strictly enforce "Bear Smart" rules: keep car doors locked, supervise children outdoors, and use provided bear-proof trash bins.)

Cabin was just as described. The only thing we seen that needed attention was the hot tub… after a long day out walking the hot tub would have made us feel a whole lot better. It worked just didn’t have any pressure at the jets. We will definitely stay here again though when we return.

Hey Jeff, We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. It's too bad you never mentioned anything about the hot tub jets not having strong pressure.. We could have gotten someone out right away to take a look at it. It's been serviced now and all jets work great. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
Such a beautiful place to stay and the hosts were amazing to work with. They communicated very well, answering all of our questions and concerns! Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful time! Fit our group of 6 perfectly. The bunk room and pool table were such a hit for the kids and a visit from a mama bear and her cubs on the surrounding hill was the perfect cap to our trip. Thank you and looking forward to the next time.
We loved this cabin. Perfect for sharing, great location away from the tourist traps and daily bear visits! We felt safe and were prepped well on keeping our cars food-free. Definitely will return again, thanks for everything!“Thank you for giving us a good time and a nice cabin and allowing us to meet your bear friends. I miss those bears already.” -our 11 year old
Everything went great for our kids while they were there. It was their first trip as adults without any parents and they had no issues which made it very nice for us. They loved the cabin and the location was perfect for everything they wanted to do during their stay!
Great visit and great cabin! The drive to and up the driveway in icy weather makes you want to hunker down and enjoy all the coziness!! Can't beat Gatlinburg at Christmas!!
After a 10 hour road trip, the host let us in 1 hour early and with 4 kids that’s HUGE! Then the house was absolutely amazing, 3 floors of wood, amazing master, awesome decks, push button fire placed used every morning with coffee, arcade games, hiking right off property, and close to two stores for snacks and drinks. I’m totally coming back, and renting THIS PLACE!Also saw 3 bears our last evening and it made it all magical. Thanks Rob and ErinTroy
Great private cabin in the mountains! Had everything we needed during our stay. The owners were even kind enough to send us bear footage from their ring cameras while we were staying there!
Wonderful cabin, very clean and well stocked. Close to everything but felt far away from everything! Would totally recommend!

We are nature lovers at heart and love the Great Smoky Mountains NP!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this cabin as soon as we saw it. It is a true log cabin in a beautiful setting. Our family loves staying here because its the perfect mixture of comfort and space. There really is room for everyone! Also we love how private this cabin is. There are no nearby neighbors so you can immerse yourself in the nature. We love observing the bears that frequently wander our property. And our property backs right up to the National Park!
