This was a comfortable, lovely, well appointed home. Everything about it was easy. Love being next to the Middlebury campus. Easy to get to town and enjoy staying at home as well thank you so much.

Middlebury retreat

This is a beautiful, clean home close to town. It was well-equipped and gave everyone (8 of us!) enough space. We really enjoyed our stay! The fire-pit in the back yard needs a re-do, but otherwise, all was great. Thanks!

A great stay in total- perfect for family gatherings.

This adorable house was just right for what my family needed. The location was perfect as well- quiet and with easy access to nearby town and walking trails. We very much appreciated how the bedrooms offered plenty of privacy and the shared spaces were very nice as well— I can highly recommend!

House was perfect. We stayed with our adult kids and grandkids which was us and three families. We were visiting family in Middlebury and it gave us a good sanctuary in between visits. I enjoyed morning walks while some enjoyed runs on the college track practically in the backyard. Easy walks to a nice bar for drinks one evening. We enjoyed a scenic walk with my parents around downtown Middlebury.

Loved! Loved! Loved! Beautiful house and yard. We were there for a family wedding. House is within walking distance to downtown Middlebury and the University. It is completely handicap friendly which was awesome since we were with my 92 year old stroke surviving father with a walker. The owner and VRBO team were great with communications. The house was well stocked. Would highly recommend for a great stay in Middlebury!

Packed with books and lots of charm, this house has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Middlebury. Unfortunately for us, the weather was too cold to take full advantage of what looks to be a very welcoming backyard patio and grilling area.

We were traveling with our 92 yr ild relative and she is in a wheelchair and uses a walker for short distances. So we needed a home with edroom and bathroom on first floor. This property was perfect. We booked this VRBO back in jan. I have 4 children. 1 whom plays lacrosse at middlebury. We were bringing the other 3 to watch a lax game and celebrate Easter as a family with friends. We arrived at the VRBO after traveling ALL day with groceries and all only to find that the instructions that were given to us were not correct. We sat in the driveway for 2 hours trying to call the property owner to no avail. I finally called VRBO customer service and they couldn't get in touch with the property owner nor the cleaning service. After 30min the VRBO cust service suggested we cancel and get something else. Well, if you are familiar with Middlebury, you know that on a weekend during spring there is NOTHING else local. We ended up having to book rooms in Bristol for 1 night and then thankfully at the swift house for another night. We changed our flights to come home earlier as there was nowhere for us to celebrate Easter. This was a complete disaster of a weekend and a very sad way to celebrate being together as a family. Around 8pm that evening I finally received a text message from the property owner stating that they were overseas and were just receiving my messages. They originally told us that it was our fault and that the door just sticks a bit. After a few back and forth messages (NO phone call mind you), they finally said it was there fault and had forgotten to turn off the master lock. At this point our weekend was already ruined. We didn't want to deal with these owners.

Middlebury Winter Week

Thanks for a nice Feb week in Midd! We enjoyed our stay and will look to return to this property again. The location and convenience of being within walking distance to town as well as right off the Middlebury College campus was great. Very cute and cozy house with a lot of charm. It was clean and convenient. The beds were very comfortable. Next time we visit family in Castletown we wldvlike stay here again.

Location, location, location! The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood that borders Middlebury College. Our neighbors are wonderful people who have lived in neighborhood for many years. It is safe, secure and a perfect home to enjoy events at the college or in the charming town.

What makes this property unique

Downtown Middlebury is just a short walk or ride from the house, and offers dining, cafes, gift and book stores, sporting and clothing stores, banks, pubs, etc... The football stadium, hockey rink, field house, and athletic fields are all just a short walk from the house as well.
