A very pleasant place to stay with a long history. Convenient to shops and historical sites in town. Great place to begin a walk, which you’ll be doing a lot in Harper’s Ferry. Multiple sitting spots to relax.
Nice place in a great location! My husband and I had a great couple nights here for an anniversary quick trip! Lots of hiking trails and beautiful views in the area. The cottage is within walking distance to shops and a few bars and restaurants. We took the train in and didn’t even rent a car. Host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay again for another quick trip !

Thank you for your kind review. I’m glad Waverly Cottage was a convenient home base for your anniversary getaway and that you enjoyed the nearby trails, views, shops, and restaurants. I appreciate your note about my responsiveness and would be happy to host you again.
Location of house was excellent! Only a short walk down the hill to historic Harper's Ferry. Parking was a little tricky on narrow one lane road, but was glad that the property did include parking in the historic area, which is hard to come by. Overall, had a great time and really enjoyed staying here!

Thank you for the 5-star review and for staying at Waverly Cottage. I'm glad the location made exploring Harper's Ferry easy and that the included historic-area parking was helpful despite the narrow road. I appreciate the parking feedback and will make sure future guests know what to expect. Hope to welcome you back.
Great place in historic Harper’s ferry. Only negative thing I can say is the parking is not ideal

Thanks again for staying with us. Glad the location and historic charm were a good fit and that communication was easy. We’d love to welcome you back anytime.
Pros: Safe and clean. Cons: Downstairs "bathroom" is in the kitchen pantry, upstairs bathroom door would not close or lock, master bedroom door would not close.
This cottage is in the perfect location! The cottage was clean, well stocked and wonderfully old and quirky. It is an easy walk into the historic town of Harper’s Ferry, but a bit steep going back, so manage your expectations and know your limitations. The host was VERY responsive and a pleasure to work with. The parking space is across the street and very tight against the hill (passenger needs to get out before parking). The town is quaint and has some wonderful local shops to visit. Our visit to Harper’s Ferry and surrounding towns was relaxing and we had a wonderful time exploring!
We really enjoyed our stay here, the location is perfect for exploring Harpers Ferry, within walking distance to everything. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cozy, perfect for a couples get away, would book again if returning to HF. The owner was very communicated, had well organized info for the stay and was easy to work with

Lovely historic home that was easy walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the whole home was very well stocked and appointed.
My partner and I had a wonderful weekend in Harpers Ferry. The cottage was in the center of everything…and we especially enjoyed being able to walk to Mass at the beautiful, historic St. Peter’s.

Our family of 4 stayed in this historic house which was quaint and perfectly located. Walked to get delicious coffee from Battleground and AMAZING dinner experience at The Rabbit Hole. Beautiful hiking and historic sites just steps from the house.

This historic house right off the main streets of Harper’s Ferry makes you feel that you are right in the middle of the history of the town. The host was extremely attentive, and the home was definitely charming. I would stay here again.

This was a return trip for us, the time before we stayed at the Clarion. It was a treat to be staying right in Harpers Ferry this time and not have to worry about parking. The house was lovely and the property manager was friendly and communicative. We will stay here again!

The cottage was so charming and homey. It was super clean and organized. We had everything that we needed! I would highly recommend staying here! If I had to knock anything which honestly wasn't a knock even would be the parking and the road. Parking on the street was a bit tight but there were no problems. It's a very tiny road. However I felt safe and really enjoyed the home and the town! The host was responsive and communicated very well! Five stars !
Very nice property within a short walk from Harpers Ferry historic district. Great location but streets are up hill “both ways.” A little rough on my old knees. Host is excellent and keeps property well maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

I loved this old house and the town. It worked great for me and my four grown kids The imperfections of the house due to age just made me appreciate it more.
