There were 15 of us, so our family filled up the cabin. Not all the beds were comfortable, but the host was very helpful & accomodating if we needed anything. The kitchen was well supplied. It was a great place to make good memories! Lots of space for activities: soccer in the driveway area, a campfire, group games in the living room area, hiking nearby, etc.

New Year's Weekend Away

The cabin was perfect for our long weekend get away. We loved the big living room and how cozy the woodstove kept us. It was very close to the state park which was just what we wanted. We also enjoyed the big covered porch. Would definitely come back!

Family Get Together

Property had all of the items as advertised. Kitchen well stocked. Direct contact with property manager was excellent. Easy check-in. Property could use a thorough cleaning and carpet replacement - otherwise a very nice place to stay.

Sunmertime Stay

It was a little warm in the cabin ac- portables did not cool the open loft design and did not go to the back bedrooms. It was a bit damp due to humidity and portables not being enough. Great communication with Matt who wanted to discuss the stay with us so he can make changes for future guests. Great location for getting to the lake and a small beach swim area at the lake.

This cabin was the little break we needed to celebrate our anniversary and unplug from the world (there was wifi and a house phone for emergencies)! The house was easy to find, had lots of room, and had it's own unique charm of a log cabin mixed with the amenities and comforts of home. It was close to Trough Creek State Park (our main purpose), and many other trail systems! The fire pit was where we spent most of our time, and as an added bonus there was a cooking grate so we could enjoy our dinners and desserts cooked over the fire! Matt was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was perfect! Definitely on the visit again list!

Quiet and serene

Had a wonderful time at Drooly Bear! House fit 8 of us (all ages) comfortably! Back bedrooms were a bit warm without the portable ac units, but we were comfortable on the cooler nights! Carpets could probably use a deep clean, but nothing that would deter us from booking again. We all had a wonderful time, enjoyed the firepit, kids had a blast playing out side. We will definitely book again! Perfect family vacation!

Not a far drive from the Raystown Resort which offers a beautiful lake to walk around at, fish to feed and a very fun water park. It’s a little on the small side but fun! Also several things to do on the lake and a pizza place that is delicious. Some convenience stores not to far from the cabin. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife!

Relaxing and away from it all

Went for my 40th birthday weekend getaway. This cabin is perfect for those like me who love to spend time outdoors and with the family. The location is very remote and you can listen to the birds all day and the frogs all night. Trough state park and reystown lake are a very short ride away to enjoy the many trails and natural features they have to offer. Historic Huntingdon is about a 40 min drive north for grocery or any other needs as well. Do know cell service is not reliable for exploring we used our atlas for exploring the areas we were not already familiar with. We would def stay again.

Deck was great to hang out on.

Didn't spend much time in the cabin itself. The location of how close it was to hunting and fishing was perfect.
