This rustic beach house is located a block from the beach right in the heart of Gulf Shores. Situated a block and a half from The Hangout, this is a fantastic location for all of the festivals, as well as some fun beach enjoyment. With three bedrooms, two baths, a large porch, a private, stackable washer and dryer, an updated kitchen, covered parking, and bright colors that tickle your senses, this bungalow has everything you need in a location you can't beat. And it's dog-friendly too, so every member of the family can join in on the fun!

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Heads up

Proximity to The Hangout is unbeatable and walking distance to the beach. However, the property is older, the Washer and Dryer didn't work, the deck out front has busted and popped screws and splinters all around. Our kids room had ants in the bed. The sliding door frame is broken. There was carbon Monoxide leaking so we had to leave with no local response to our inconvenience or ruined stay. It was recommended for families and unfortunately that is NOT the case.

Convenience!!!

The location of this property was fantastic - close to everything yet far enough away from the usual traffic of being "in the middle of everything". We enjoyed staying in the house!

Not worth it!

I did not love any of it. It was better than staying in a hotel! First off. Didn’t mow the yard! Had bugs in master bathroom and had to have an exterminator to come out. Then the floors. You have to wear your shoes the whole time or you will stump your toe or rip the bottom of your foot open. I had to plunge the master tub because it wasn’t going down when I showered. Other peoples hair on the blankets! Very nasty. Don’t leave enough trash bags to take trash out. And don’t let you know when trash needs to be set at curb for pick up. Figure it out yourself. Then to top it all off the last night my wife and I was on couch watching tv and a giant water bug crawled on my arm! WOW! And get charged enough for the stay and fees for Vacasa, hmmmmmm what the hell is all of it for?

Heart of the Hangout

We give this property 5 stars for its location and vintage beach house charm. Great AC and plenty of hot water, too. The Purple House was worth the price in the low season.
