Built in 1991 this property is one of the older homes on West Beach and is the East side of a duplex. There is a permanent owner resident next door.

Parking available under the condo and in the driveway for up to 3 vehicles.

The house was so close to the beach it was wonderful. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. The house it's self was fully equipped. There was a small issue that was resolved quickly. The owner was responsive and friendly.

Close to the beach

Our family really enjoyed the hospitality that our host provided. The beach is our happy place and it was very easy to go across the street to enjoy the beach, plenty of room and really enjoyed the view from the front deck great place for relaxing and being close to everything that you would like to go see.

Nice and quiet

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We brought our dog and was able to walk him on the lease with ease. First trip to Gulf Shores alone. Normally we bring all the family. This would be a great place to stay again with our kids and grandkids. Easy beach access, clean, and quiet. Short walk to the store and places to eat.

Beach Getaway

Perfect location, private beach access, close to all the shops and restaurants. Check out process is very simple and easier than most. Well stocked with beach supplies and ice. Only suggestion would be a few more kitchen items might make cooking easier.

Family Vacation/Softball Tournament

Great family friendly location. Beach is located across the street. Easy fast access to the beach. The house is away from all the condos so you don’t have to fight for the “perfect” beach spot. Also, away from all the hustle and bustle from the sight seeing, but still only a few minutes away. Perfect location for family quality time!

Great location!

Overall, it's a great place. There were a few cleaning issues (not Stephanie's fault, her cleaner). Stephanie responded right away and sent her back over to fix the issues. You have a great view of the ocean in the bedroom on the second floor and a good view from the porch. I would definitely come back here again.

Gulf shores 2024 trip.

House has everything you need - location, beach across the street, stocked with what you need. WiFi and lots of streaming apps was great. Stephanie was quick to respond to inquiries. Only suggestion would be to update house pictures.

Great location but needs deep cleaned!

The property is in a great location with private beach right across the street. However, it is not worth the money to stay. If I was in a hotel I would have requested my money back. The entire home needs a massive deep cleaning. The ceiling fans are black with dirt. There are fans in each room and they were so caked in dirt and other peoples hair it was nasty. All of the air conditioning vents have dirt coming out of them and the ceiling is stained. The upstairs shower has zero water pressure. The hand rail to the upstairs has what looks like chocolate hand print smears all over it. The kitchen chairs look like they will fall apart if you sit incorrectly, and one of them has a screw sticking out of the seat, my child got stabbed by it. The listing says there are beach chairs, but there are none. Also the ex-husband lives next door and there were so many people coming in and out , tons of cars, not peaceful at all.

Excellent location, older home

This unit is in a fantastic location for families that enjoy a not so busy beach but want to still be close to everything. The beach access is across a street, but it's a relatively short distance, which is fantastic for littles. We did bring a wagon, but the sand was extremely soft. Either way, still a VERY nice beach. As far as the unit, it does have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom is very much in need of repairs/ updating as is the downstairs bathroom, as well as some parts of the ceiling and walls that have holes, or separation between. There is also a slight moldy smell upon entering the unit, so anyone with allergies should be aware. The beds were all fairly comfortable and the a/c unit worked VERY well despite the heat wave of summer months. The previous comment about the cleaning crew was somewhat correct, the floor was covered in sand when we got there. I know it's a beach house, I know there is going to be sand tracked in, but we definitely couldn't be bare foot. Also, the cleaning company stuck the bath towels under the sink drain and next to paint buckets, paint rollers, and some other supplies that were under the counter. For some, that may be ok, but for us it wasn't 'clean' so we did wash the towels that were provided. I should also make note that the grill provided is older, and shared with the neighbor. Now, the next door neighbor is a home owner as opposed to a renter, so his family was over quite a bit to enjoy the beach also. They weren't disrespectful or anything, they were polite and parking was not an issue for us while we were there. It is a shared driveway, however the neighbor and his family definitely did not block anything, even with 3-4 vehicles at times. There are stairs that lead up to the unit, as are almost all houses that close to the beach. The stars are sturdy and do look like a nice hardyplank. The porch is nice also, and has several chairs for enjoying a nice sea breeze. You can also currently view the ocean from the porch, and that was nice as opposed to having massive condos blocking the view. Everyone in the units across the way were also renting and completely a pleasure to spend the week around. Overall, the area itself is fantastic for families. The unit definitely could use some updates, some tlc for needed repairs, and possibly a new cleaning company. Aside from those things, we did enjoy the beach and look forward to returning to the area in a year or so.

Stephanie was great, quick to respond to messages. Our stay was wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the covered front porch which was awesome to have. The beach was a short walk, and was beautiful. Location was close to so many things. Trip was perfect!

I wrote that description many years ago. Everything is still true, but I have since remarried a wonderful man, Wes, who works in home inspections. He comes in handy to make sure that the property is up to par safety wise.

Wes and I live in town, about 5 miles away. I am a mental health therapist. I work in a psychiatric hospital in Daphne. My oldest child works for Ikes, and provides beach services to all the vacationers. He's the one that sets the chairs out on the beach. I have a beautiful daughter who is up at Auburn, following in my footsteps and getting a psychology degree. And my youngest is now 14 years old and starting the marching band. I am proud of all 3 of them and you may meet them when they come to see their dad, next door...
It is true that my ex-husband lives next-door to your rental unit. It is a duplex . He's a nice guy, his name is Randy. He's a criminal attorney if you get any trouble while you're down here! He knows a lot about fishing too, charter boats and honey holes.

Everyone in my family looks forward to having happy vacationers at our condo.

West Beach in Gulf Shores is by far the best spot! Quiet and peaceful, but close to many attractions, and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
We offer a hurricane refund, cat 2 and up.
