Available now for your girls/guys/couples winter weekend or family summer retreat! Adorable cottage so close to the sugary sands of South Haven’s North Beach you can hear and see the waves. Absolutely stunning lake views from the deck and a quick walk to the beach or back to the house for snacks/drinks/etc. No need to load up the car or stick to one schedule. Lightning fast internet and a portable desk included if remote work is required.

Don’t underestimate the fact that there are No hills to the beach and No stairs to the beach!

Three bedrooms, 2 full updated bathrooms, plus an exterior 3rd full bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials and two parking spots on site! Don't waste any time driving around looking for parking. Fresh towels/crisp linens provided. Guests bring beach towels/beach chairs/umbrella. Well appointed family room and inviting patio with a grill and a fire table just steps from Lake Michigan. Plenty of room to spread out or curl up by the fireplace for a game night. Walk to the beach. Walk to town. This cottage is truly a relaxing retreat!

South Haven is the quintessential beach town complete with specialty shops, unique restaurants, wine tasting, historical sight seeing, and hiking. Kayak and Paddleboard rentals available at the beach. Park your car at the cottage and explore everything this area has to offer!

Bedroom Layout - Master (upstairs) - King; 2nd Bedroom (main floor) - Queen; Bunk Room (upstairs) - Queen plus bunk beds, and a trundle if needed. Owner Tip: Pack a duffle versus a full suitcase for ease up sturdy spiral staircase.

Bathroom(2+) - Full bath on Main, full bath upstairs, additional full bath on exterior of house, perfect for coming off the beach!

Incredible location in sight of the beach and an easy walk to downtown. Really comfortable beds, very clean, great kitchen, outdoor grill and lounge space. A few of the overhead lights and ceiling fans didn’t work but the house stayed cool without them and they weren’t a deterrent from our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax with friends and family

Perfect South Haven location!

This house is perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation. The neighborhood is so ideal for walks to the beach or river, or walks into town to shop or eat. We loved the easy access to everything and the easy communication with the owner. They were accommodating and checked up on us via texts and messages. What more can I say, the place was simply great! You will not be disappointment with this place if you choose to book it. We will likely book again if we travel here in the future. Thank you!

We had such a wonderful stay! The rental was absolutely perfect — beautifully decorated with a layout that made it feel both spacious and cozy. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and it truly felt like a home away from home.One of the best parts was the location — just a short walk to both the beach and downtown South Haven. It made it so easy to enjoy the best of what the area has to offer without having to drive.I also really appreciated the extra touches, like the beach chairs and supplies that were available for us to use. We absolutely loved our stay at Sunset Mimosa. Very clean, tidy, and cute! My elderly grandma (87), parents, husband, and 2 children (2 & 7 months) fit comfortably. Property manager answered every single text in such a timely manner. It is just steps from the beach and playground on the beach (bonus for the kids!). We hope to visit again!!!

Sunset Mimosa wonderful

My sister, cousin and I stayed at Sunset Mimosa for several days. The location is amazing. We walked to the beach several times a day as it is only a 4 minute walk. We sat on the balcony and looked out at the water while drinking coffee in the morning. Easy drive to downtown South Haven, The instructions were very helpful by alerting us to use small luggage or duffle bags to easily get up the winding stairs to upstairs bedrooms. We loved our stay. There is even a beautiful fire pit on the patio we used one night.

The house and neighborhood are wonderful and the location can't be beat! It is so nice when the pictures and description on the website match what you get in person. The house was stocked with about everything you can ask for. Communication was great and Kim was very accommodating which we truly appreciated! The best ever

This is the best VRBO property we've booked so far. The house is very upgraded. Starting from the coffee machine and TV soundbar, towels, soaps, pillows, etc., everything is luxurious. The location is extremely convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Kim for providing Mimosa ingredients! We'll try to book for the next summer in advance.

Very nice cottage. Close to beautiful beach. Lots of amenities. Very tight circular staircase to upstairs. It was fine for us but might be difficult for older people or people with very small children. However there is first floor bedroom and bathroom. Overall, very nice place!

Had an excellent time. The spiral staircase is no joke. Very steep and narrow but I was aware of that before I got there. Thankfully I could stay in the downstairs bedroom since I was recovering from foot surgery. Would definitely stay again!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time. The house was located close to the beach. We watched sunsets from the master bedroom balcony. Home was clean and comfortable. Our beds were cozy, sheets were soft, plenty of towels and toiletries. The stairs are narrow, which was not a problem for us, just something to keep mind with kids under three and older folks. We definitely enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Thanks for everything.

Great location - steps to the beach and walkable to town. Well equipped, nice outdoor seating on the first level as well as the second floor deck. The spiral stairs were narrow and steep. It was difficult to move luggage to the second floor and back down. Watch your step!

This rental was fantastic! It was located about a one minute walk to Lake MI with a view of the lake. It was super cute, and very comfortable. It was extremely well stocked with great attention to detail; the kitchen had everything you could want. The first floor was open and comfy, the top floor with more bedrooms and bath. The beds were all very comfortable for sleeping. Kim was more than accommodating, quickly responsive and generously welcoming. I could even think of anything to make it better. I would highly recommend this place.

Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Mimosa. The house is in a great location, just a few steps from North Beach. We stayed in early June of 2022, so the lake was still a little chilly. We played on the beach and watched the sunsets each evening. Downtown is nearby as well will lots of shops and restaurants. There is a great little coffee shop, Bunde's just around the corner for breakfast. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. The patio area was also a great place to sit and visit. Kim was quick to answer any questions. If in the area again, we would definitely book here again.

BEST VRBO I have ever rented!

This place was top notch! Adorable from the get-go! Sunset Mimosa comes with all the ingredients to make your own! Super quick trot down to the beach to enjoy the sand, sun and surf! Bedrooms were great - comfortable beds, plenty of storage for our things! Bathrooms - also plenty of room and storage - and the nice addition of fabulous shampoos/conditioners, body wash was a great bonus. Kitchen - appliances were new and clean and there is just about any pot/pan/dish you need there! Living area - spacious and comfortable - games and books for those who want to partake. Patio area - furniture was comfy! Loved the lights that hung above and the fire table! Great place to read books and sip your morning coffee. Grill was great- we brought steaks for one of our dinners and it was nice to eat out on the patio! Outside bathroom - what a fun surprise! Spiral stairs - yes, they are narrow, but I got a pack and play and a big exercise ball up those stairs (among other things)_ with no problem. Would 100% recommend. We are plotting dates to come again next year and stay longer! Kim is a top notch host!
