so perfect we stayed for 3 months!

perfect spot to hunker down for the summer. we, being 4 adults and a dog stayed at Jimmy and Anna's from memorial day to labor day. we loved the surprisingly quick drive from nyc, exploring the delaware river area and most of all coming back to a place with everything we needed - water, nature, a huge kitchen and internet fast enough to keep us all employed. we canoed, biked, hiked, grilled and swam with ease thanks to the well equipped home. Jimmy is a fantastic host and we couldn't be more thankful for the refuge his lake house afforded us this year.

Modern and cozy

We enjoyed our first time renting this property so much that we have returned twice since. Beautiful open plan for the kitchen/living room area makes this house perfect for relaxing with family and friends, while meals are cooked and cocktails served :) Kids always have a wonderful time here playing games by the fireplace, running around outside and watching for otter and eagles out on the dock or from the canoe. Bedrooms are comfortable, and when it's time to snuggle down for movie time, take your pick, there are great tvs in each room. A lovely retreat.

A wonderful, modern, welcoming Zen getaway!!

We had a wonderful time staying at the lake house. It is beautiful, and located in a quiet perfect location, by the lake. The view is stunning! The kitchen is well equipped, the house offers amenities for both adults and children. It's located very close to the main town. I highly recommend!!

Breath of fresh air

This home has the most gracious, open layout that's perfectly designed for relaxing with friends. Amazing open kitchen with long counter, two living room areas, one with fireplace and one with TV, great deck for barbecuing, and the picture windows make looking at the lake a pleasure in any season. We visited once in winter and once in warm weather and loved it both times. You can take a peaceful walk on the wooded road around the lake when you feel cooped up, but most of the time you're going to just stay in because it's so lovely. Beds are great too -- no complaints at all.

Beautiful Modern Home With Plenty of Space!

What an amazing property! Its nicely secluded, surrounded by trees, and there's a beautiful lake just off the backyard. My family of four spent time there with another family of four (four adults, four kids total) and there was plenty of room for all. The main living space feels epic with such a high ceiling and lots of comfy couches, and the huge open kitchen is right there with an absolutely massive counter top. The gas fireplace was perfect for the colder evenings. And the downstairs room worked great as a play room, plus it had its own tv for the kids. We took plenty of walks around the neighborhood and it was really easy to get to the nearest grocery store to stock up. We grilled most nights on the front porch and it was wonderful to listen to the sounds of nature that surrounded us. We came from NYC and the house was just under 2 hours to get to, pretty much straight across NJ. The owners were super nice and really easy to deal with, responding to our questions right away. Our visit was in the Spring but we'd love to come back in Autumn or Winter to see how the different seasons change the scenery! We'll definitely go back again.

Best family time ever!

This was the perfect getaway for my family. We had the best time swimming and fishing off the traditional floating dock and we always watched the deer come out at sunset. The lake has an osprey and a bald eagle soaring above most of the day. The house is bright and clean with excellent vistas of the lake and woods. The wildlife sightings are abundant and the outdoor fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The only problem is that my kids keep asking when we're going back! Thanks for the great time!
