Best, unobstructed sunset view from beautiful balcony, and unit was very clean! Walking distance to downtown, so convenient. But the property itself is dated and could use a little TLC. Also, be sure to bring lots of quarters for laundry.

This place was amazing. It has absolutely everything you need and more! AC worked beautifully when we needed it, but we mostly had windows open with the fans. It was so nice to have such loud waves to fall asleep and wake up to. The view was outstanding from the lanai, bedroom, and even the kitchen. My only small complaint (due to personal preference) was that the bed pillows were a little thick. Aside from that, it was a 10/10 experience. Loved walking to the shops and restaurants close by. Loved the reserved parking spot. Book this place!!

We loved seeing and hearing the ocean waves from our windows and deck! This is a top-floor end unit and we never heard any neighbors or cars. Kitchen and bathroom were generously stocked with essentials and amenities, and everything was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location within walking distance to Ali'i Drive and the many shops and restaurants! Amazing views of surf, tide pools with sea turtles, and beautiful sunsets!

Wonderful Location, Unbeatable View

I love being right above the water, literally on the ocean above a break wall. Colorful reef fish are visible when the waves are calm. The condo units all face west for beautiful sunsets. I also like how close it is to central Kona, easy to walk to many restaurants. Communication and service was excellent, too.

This was the best-equipped kitchen we've ever stayed in, and I loved the recliner. The pillows on the bed were the too-stuffed kind, but happily we found smaller ones in the box on the closet shelf. Great to have the portable beach chairs. I'm glad we had good weather at mealtimes, because there really isn't a comfortable indoor option. Maybe a coffee table?

Quiet Stay in the Thick of the Action

We loved staying in this beautiful condo on the edge of the sweet town of Kona. Walking distance to the heart of town, yet a very peaceful --the sound of the waves crashing below drowned out any sounds of resorts and water play. The extra perk was that the managing company supplied items like laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. so that we didn't need to buy a lot of things that we wouldn't use up during our stay. Delightful stay.

55th anniversary getaway

Loved the location, location, location. If you want a truly restful and enjoyable look at lava meets the sea, with accompanying sunrises and sunsets, you cannot do better than this condo and this room

Beautiful Ocean Front

I highly recommend this condo. It was perfect for our getaway vacation. Waking up to the ocean right outside our balcony was truly amazing. Very quiet and clean. Definitely will be staying here for future vacations.

Condo was very clean. AC worked very well. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. The view on the lanai was spectacular! No bugs whatsoever in the condo. I spent 3 months researching for a great place and Hale Kona Kai delivered. The only minor drawback was there wasn’t a tv in the bedroom, but we weren’t there for watching tv in the bedroom. I thought I’d have to open the lanai door or windows to enjoy hearing the ocean at night, but even with the windows closed we enjoyed hearing the waves all night. There are several restaurants within walking distance. It was nice and quiet as well. It was well worth the money spent for this condo. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location!

Fantastic location!!! We spent every morning on the balcony watching the fish, turtles, and dolphins swim by! It's also an easy walk into town to do some shopping or grab a bite. The unit itself was great, all the emmities you need, especially the beach equipment! Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing vacation spot!

Located close to everything with plenty to do. And when we were still, we enjoyed every second of just relaxing on the lanai and watching the waves hit the tide pools. Everything we could have needed was provided and we had the MOST comfortable bed ever. The host was very friendly and communicative.
