Disappointed…
This property was not my favorite. First there was overgrown grass in both the front and back yard which looked neglected. I also noticed a mattress propped against the fence in the yard, along with a big pile of pottery chips or whatever that was. It wasn’t a good look for the Ballwin area. I expected more. I also felt it was false advertisement because the details of the property described it as being a lower level but it was actually a basement, which I didn’t like. Why would I want to spend as much money as I did just to go to someone’s basement? I could have stayed home in my own basement! This was my biggest issue. No wonder we didn’t have access to a stove. And the shower was almost impossible because the space for one person was like a phone booth, which made it difficult to turn and have elbow room. The owner didn’t leave us the Wi-Fi password, which meant we had to call again. Another wait. In addition, it was sometimes very dry air or hot but we had no way of controlling the temperature in the basement. The thermometer must have only been located upstairs in the house. We had issues getting into the key padlock, which we eventually figured out but the owner was very slow in responding. At least be available for questions the first 30-minutes to an hour. Once we got inside we kept seeing spiders and/or other small critters. This may be typical for a basement but along with all the other issues, I wasn’t happy. I would not recommend or stay at this property again!
