First time on market! ! This is the one everyone has been waiting for - a unique local fave, family owned, and riverfront! Camp Fisher 🐻 is finally available to travelers near and far!!
Handbuilt in 1981, this cozy lincoln log style cabin has been updated to complement the cabin's camp like spirit. Relive those summer camp days with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and relaxing on the river. The space Camp Fisher Bear is designed to be a cozy, comfy retreat from city living. Camp/americana vibes, modern appliances (except that vintage stove/oven we just couldn’t let go of), fast wifi, smart TV, and luxurious beds to rest after a day of adventure.
The main bedroom is the National Parks room and has a California king bed, a sitting chair, and views of the river. You can even hear the river water gently floating by as you doze off.
The second and third bedrooms (the DEER and BEAR rooms) are almost mirror images of each other. Both with a queen bed and plenty of closet space.
The fourth bedroom upstairs is a personal favorite. Designed with kids in mind, the matching twin trundle beds comfortably fit 4 little ones with space for a pack and play. A little nook outfitted with a curtain and mini kid chairs make for the perfect kids fort or hideaway. As a bonus: the clock is combined with a sound machine.
The kitchen has a large pantry to store all the food you’ll need for your stay, a brand new retro-style microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, coffee maker, a tea kettle, a crockpot and a 4-slice toaster. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for your stay. We love to cook while we’re there, so you should find everything you need to make a delicious meal. Coffee pods, condiments, and spices are provided. The pantry has a SHARE shelf where you can take/leave non-perishable goods.
The living room has a large leather sectional, plush carpet and 4 lux large beanbags. Unwind watching your favorite show or movie on the 65” smart TV or sit around catching up with your friends and family.
The game room is another personal favorite as an avid board/card gamer. Choose from a variety of games, start a poker game, or just sit and enjoy the river views.
Next to the game room is a bonus room with a futon. There is currently only enough bedding for the beds upstairs. If you would like to sleep in here, grab one of the trundle beds bedding from upstairs or bring your own sleeping bag.
The dining area has a long farmhouse table that seats 8. There is also extra seating for 4 on our live edge granite countertop. We love to hang at the counter with our cup of coffee or glass of wine and chat with whoever is in charge of the cooking.
The backyard overlooks the river and is the perfect place to grill and hang out under the large Douglas fir trees. There is also a picnic table and Adirondack chairs for outdoor relaxation.
Other things to note *There is direct, unrestricted access to the river from our backyard. It is your responsibility to bring safety floatation devices and keep a watchful eye on those non-swimmers. We have a strict no river without an adult rule with our young kiddos.
*The wood burning fireplace is for decoration purposes only and CANNOT be used, but the central heater will keep you warm on those cool winter days and nights.
*Our cabin is clean, comfortable, and has been updated with new luxury vinyl floors. The living room, stairs, and upstairs all have plush carpet. In keeping with the log cabin rustic style, we kept the original windows. These are a little tricky to figure out how to open, but easy once you know how.
*Recording/monitoring devices cameras by front and back door of the cabin recording motion, audio, & video 24/7 for the protection of our home. If tampered with guests will be asked to vacate the property without refund of stay.
Thank you for considering our home for your next getaway! Feel free to contact us with any questions about the cabin or the area!

This is a very comfortable homey home. It was very welcoming and spacious. It has easy access. Everything is welcoming and we couldn’t ask for a better vacation rental.
We had a great stay at this property! The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. The river access was excellent and made it easy to enjoy time outdoors. Everything was just as described, and the setting made for a peaceful and enjoyable trip. We’re already looking forward to staying here again!
The entire family had an absolute blast! Access to the river was amazing. It was family friendly and all the available amenities were great! From kayaks to kids toys, enough room for all!! We may make it an annual family mini vacation destination
We loved everything about this place. Minutes into town. Comfortable accommodations for everyone. Plenty of space to spread. And of course the beautiful river view with a great outdoor space for entertaining. Everyone really enjoyed our stay here.
My family stayed here for four relaxing, fun filled, awesome days. The home is immense, beautiful and clearly well cared for. I hope we can do another family get together here in the future. This is just an awesome property.
We chose Roseburg because it's between Crater Lake National Park and the Oregon Coast. The cabin was as described and had plenty of space, was clean, and well stocked. Communication with the owner was excellent. Swimming in the river behind the house was a great way to end each day.
Family weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Very large and roomy beautiful log home.
Kids really enjoyed the well stocked game shelves and all the charming nooks when they weren’t outside playing.
Visited Wildlife Safari for a second time and loved it as much as the first.
Would love to stay at this rental again in the future.
Fantastic house and in great location. Very relaxing and has everything you need. It was almost perfect, but I would recommend ac units upstairs during hot days (not terrible, but can get a little stuffy). The ac on first floor is great. The river view and patio are wonderful as well. Host very responsive. Thank you and we will be back!

Glad you had a fantastic time Katie!! We usually install our window a/c units in June/July and remove them in October. We will reassess and see if we need them sooner. Thank you for the feedback!
Such an wonderful cabin in the woods and on the river. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a fun place to stay while in Roseburg it is by far the nicest rental home I have rented, lots of rooms and beds and just very peaceful place. The only thing could state that needs updated or fixed is the stove top and over other than that this is a great place to get away from the city and close to wineries love love!!!

The stove top has been fixed! :) glad you enjoyed your trip and hope you stay with us again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Due to the heat, we tried to stay near the river as much as possible, which was right outside the back patio. Nice swimming area for the kids and we were able to float from Amacher park straight to the property. Multiple wineries within a couple of miles allowed us to make a couple of convenient stops. House was well stocked and comfortable except that it was difficult to cool off the upstairs during our stay.

Hi Michael,
Glad you and your family enjoyed the house, the river and the float. The wineries are definitely a plus! We weren’t sure if additional AC was necessary upstairs. We value your feedback and have since ordered AC units for each of the bedrooms. We hope you’ll visit us again! Thanks.
We come every year to visit my grandma (so my kids great grandma). We don’t do much except hang out and we love this house! It’s perfect lay out. I cook every meal the entire time and the kitchen has everything I need. The stove and oven is older but works well. We love the quietness of the river, the kids rooms, the games, the cornhole and the swing! We try to stay here each time we come. It’s so comfortable and has space for everyone. Thank you for opening your home to us!
My family and I stayed here Dec. 15-18. Chilled weather forecast but, once the thermostat was set to "comfortable", the home heated quickly downstair. The property owners were always on the ball responding right away with any questions we had. This Log hime was so beautifully spacious and room for everyone. The upstairs took the night to heat as it was 50° when we arrived and there are only space heaters in the rooms but, once heated, stayed at perfect temperature throughout our stay. The gameroom was fabulous for the kids to hang out and play their games while the large and spacious living room was perfect for our elders, needing to relax, who were able to lounge and catch a western or 3! The kitchen and dining room were perfect for those of us cooking to still be able to visit while guests relaxed with a beverage at the large table. The lovely walk in pantry, aka: "share pantry", was a blessing as I did find a couple of items left to share from previous guests that I had forgotten to pack or purchase. I did contribute to the share pantry for future guests as a pass it forward ;-) The Adirondack chairs and firepit by the river, right off the back deck, made for another wonderful night's memory as family sat, cuddled up around the fire, visiting and laughing. This home is definitely 1 of our top picks and anyone who is thinking of staying here, you will NOT be disappointed. We were so blessed to spend this time, our very large family, at this spacious and perfectly thought out home. I can not think of anything which we were missing or the home was lacking. Will definitely plan to stay here again on future visits.
Overall the cabin was amazing! It was clean and spacious, it was everything you could wish for. It gave the home away from home vibe. We are a big family, and it was great we could all fit and gather around the kitchen/dining area without feeling cramped. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so much nature. The host was great to work with; there was clear communication from booking until our last day.
Very nice comfortable place on the river. Large house to spread out and it had all the amenities we needed. The owners very friendly and nice, kept good contact before and after stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
We loved this property. The owner was so responsive. The pantry was great and the kitchen easy to use. The river view was great from the back deck. It was a warm weekend but a few fans helped that. We felt comfy
We loved staying here! My grandma lives in Roseburg so we decided to stay here until a hotel and were so happy we did! The location at the river was great. We played in the river each day. We spent the entire time pretty much hanging out as a family, cooking and playing games. We all had fun!
This place was beautiful and fully stocked! Absolutely amazing and relaxing. The views are gorgeous. Loved the river access. The outdoor space is cozy and comfortable. Would definitely come back!
This home is amazing! Great location, very convenient to multiple wineries and other venues. The house was perfect in every way -- already planning another visit!!

About the host

We are the Mutka family (@themutkakidstravel)!! On the road for a good quarter of the year, we LOVE travelling! We’ve been to a lot of amazing places and national parks, but the Pacific Northwest will always have our heart. We often get asked, why Roseburg?! Situated between some of our favorite places - the Oregon coast and Crater/Diamond lake area, or even San Diego and Canada!, we love being able to balance both relaxing on vacation and being outdoorsy. (And I mean who wouldn’t want to stay in a life sized Lincoln log cabin on the river?!). Camping in our trailer has pretty much been the only vacation our kids have ever known. So it was pretty funny when our youngest son said "this place is my favorite campsite"!!
We hope Camp Fisher Bear becomes one of your "favorite campsite" destinations too!
