Amazing location and views but could be better
The pros:
Brilliant location - right on the best part of the beach, easy walk to Bormes les Mimosas port town which has all the shops you could need. Even easier walk to beach front bars in Le Lavandou and a 5 minute drive to a large Carrefour. No road/car noise.
Views - absolutely stunning from the dining area, lounge and roof terrace.
Facilities - modern kitchen and bathrooms and stunning roof terrace. Easy parking at the property with 2 spaces to choose from.
Staff - very friendly, responsive and clear instructions.
The cons:
Layout - slightly odd with 2 of the bedrooms only accessible via another room (a bedroom and the dining area). The main shower room is cramped and one of the two toilets can only be accessed from the bedroom which is accessed via another bedroom.
Facilities - the built in seating on the terrace has been designed to have cushions, but they are not provided. This means the seating is too deep to sit on comfortably. The main terrace lights were not working and the ones that did work (although I had to remove the switch cover to get them working) were too bright and at eye level, so uncomfortable to have on. The air conditioning made some strange noises which sometimes woke us up in the night, an engineer came and was able to reduce the noise, but could not stop it. There was a smell of damp in the wardrobe of the upstairs bedroom which made our clothes smell.
Keys - collection and drop off is at the other side of Le Lavandou bay and parking is difficult.
