Great spot for our girls' weekend! Plenty of room for the 7 of us! Nice, large backyard and patio forvan evening by the firepit! Enjoyed the walkability to all of the nearby shops, restaurants, and parks.
We pulled into the driveway and knew the home was a gem. Every room was beautifully furnished. Love all the turquoise decor! The kitchen was so well equipped. Danyel is a perfect host, ensuring that we had all we needed. We were only steps from Glen Helen and from the very lovely town of Yellow Springs.
The home was lovely and met all our needs for 8 women in their young 70’s. We wished the weather had allowed us to gather in the backyard but we were happy to remain indoors with plenty of light entering from the windows. The kitchen and dining room served all our needs for large meals.
We so enjoyed our stay at the Wildflower retreat. The home was spacious and comfortable, decorated meticulously with a fresh vintage vibe. The kitchen was well equipped, furnishings very nice, and bedrooms and bathrooms all excellent. They even provide robes for the guests…what a nice touch! Location!!! So easy to walk to shops and restaurants—we loved wandering around town, grabbing a coffee, a lovely breakfast, and beautiful hike at Glen Helen. Quick responses from the owner were much appreciated—thanks Danyel. We would be happy to stay here again!
Spent three nights in this lovely home. There were eight of us and plenty of room to spread out. Had an evening fire one night and enjoyed the side porch immensely. The house is walking distance to everything. Everything in the house worked properly, bed was comfy and plenty of towels. We recommend this house for its convenience to everything and comfort level.

This house was everything and then some! Super clean, PERFECT location, and the back patio was amazing. The host had just had outdoor patio lights installed, so the ambiance by the fire was perfect. We loved it so much, wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will be back!!
What a fabulous location! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The weather was great so we spent a lot of time outside. The listing did not mention it when we booked but they had lovely string lights and a fire pit on the back patio. The side patio was a great place to hang in the shade and watch everything go by. Initially we thought it would be nice if the yard was fenced but then, when we saw the deer wander though, we realized we would have missed that treat! The host was very quick to respond to questions. The home is charming and decorated tastefully. If we return to stay a couple of nights in Yellow Springs, we would absolutely book again!
This property had everything! The host knew what people needed and what would make the stay comfortable! It was beautifully decorated and clean! She was quick to communicate and super helpful. We stayed as a family. . . daughters, aunts , grandmothers and friends:) Even with all the rain, we loved sitting on the side porch ! We ordered pizza and watched movies:). The bedrooms were great- complete with bathrobes and televisions in each. In the kitchen there was everything . . . well stocked cabinets and cooking materials. There is a fire pit in the back- complete with comfy chairs and couches- we saw 2 deer walking around in the yard! I could go on and on about how wonderful this place was!Location was perfect- it’s literally steps away from the main streets of Yellow Springs and close to a great coffee shop and bakery inside the hotel across the street. It’s perfect for large groups wanting to stay together- although it’s pricey, when everyone splits a portion of the bill, you get so much more for your money than a hotel stay! We booked again for next year already! Highly recommend this gem!
This house was perfect for our wedding weekend! We loved the location! Yellow Springs is a lovely place! The home was ver accommodating! The only thing we only had one garbage can because we was full from the previous guests, but we could live with that! Amazing place!!!!
This was the 4th year that we have stayed at the Wildflower House in Yellow Springs with our adult kids, a couple spouses, and 3 grandkids. We come back every year now since the house is located right in the heart of Yellow Springs and has everything we need. The property manager, Danyel, is super responsive and helpful. The 5 bedrooms on the second and third floors give ample space for all. Kitchen is well set up for family meals. The backyard looks fun, but we don't get out there much since it is December. Looks like it would be great in summer. We couldn't be happier with our stays there.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn our VRBO was right across the street from the town Christmas tree. Idyllic setting in a wonderful town. Host was wonderful. This was a great place to celebrate our family Christmas!
What an amazing home. We all loved The Wildflower House. Perfect for our group, and location couldn't be better. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. We would definitely consider another stay here.
Lived up to the 5 Star Ratings! The host was perfectly responsive and easy to work with. The home was historic yet had all of the modern finishes you’d need or want. SPACIOUS and comfortable! The AC was excellent! The host even thoughtfully positioned extra fans in the upper bedrooms just to keep the air circulating if desired. We are a family who likes it COLD inside and we had not a single complaint. Ample outdoor seating. One of our favorite places EVER. Thank you! Planning on booking for next year.
The Wildflower House is truly lovely- which made it festive and fun for our bridal party- and spacious. The host provided excellent communication (responded to questions within 24 hours), and the home's location is excellent for exploring the town. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
This is the second year that our group of six women stayed at Wildflower House. Returned because we loved it so much the first time. Year two didn’t disappoint and we are already talking about next year. The house is beautiful and roomy. Kitchen is well supplied. Great outdoor areas. Location is close to town and to , the walking/bike path and to Glen Helen. And - we happily met Danyel at her shop Wildflower Boutique where 5 of us bought fun and well made clothes!!
For many years, my sisters and our daughters/daughter in laws have done a "mom" getaway. Yellow Springs and The Wildflower were fantastic! Great location, clean, and the accommodations were perfect.
This is a lovely home and the attention to detail is spot on. I rented this for my daughter and her bridesmaids to stay the night before her wedding and the next night Allie and Nick stayed in the home. I suggest this home to anyone getting married in this area
My only negative was the first night. Some of my party arrived early and the hostess let them in ahead of time (3:00 pm). The AC was 82 degrees on the first floor (2nd and 3rd floors were much hotter). We have stayed at several places over the years and sometimes it is a bit warm when we walk in.No big deal, we adjust the thermostat and let it cool down.
After getting luggage in and trying to operate the thermostat with no success, they reached out; she stated she could see on her phone that it was showing 82 degrees. A company showed up between 7 and 8 pm and left at 9 pm. At midnight, the thermostat still showed 77 degrees. The first and second floors were okay with fans we bought, but the 3rd floor was too hot-four people slept on the couch. Finally by next morning, it was down and all was well.
After we got home, I reached out to ask if there could be any compensation for our first night (people sleeping on the couch, buying fans, hours with no AC). The first response was that she hoped we could see that she did everything possible. We exchanged some messages and agreed upon an amount ($200). Then, she deducted $25-one of my guests left two boxes of the fans she bought and there was some garbage left in a trash can. I guess I just wish she could have been more proactive–by maybe offering something upfront instead going back and forth for 6 days, or if she can see the temperature of the house on her phone maybe she could have made sure it was working before we arrived.
