Ken & Jayne stayed with us for over a month...so we were lucky to get to know them pretty well. They were everything a host wants, but we also really liked them and saw them socially. They were quiet, very neat and organized, respectful, very light on the property, and were always in a good mood! We are excited because we think they are coming back!!

Great stay

Very quiet. Comfortable place. All the amenities . Full equipped kitchen. Getting out in the morning and seeing the horses , the wine fields and the mountains was a plus. Nice walks . Secluded yet within a walking distance to public transportation if wanted. Absolutely recommend

Richard and his wife were perfect guests. They were quiet and private, yet very nice and friendly. Lovely people that they are! I am particularly fond of folks that enjoy being here...and they did. We dearly hope they come back!

Fantastic

Beautiful property with nice views. Quiet,clean, and serene property. The hosts are very hospitable and accommodating. Hosts are very friendly, but give you your privacy, respectfully. Place is located very close to many local wineries and eateries. Neighboring towns are nearby, with many options for other activities. I enjoyed my stay immensely. A very pleasant experience, all together.

The most magical stay in Kenwood and Sonoma County!

Catherine and Dave were the most gracious hosts at their Big Red Barn in Kenwood! We absolutely loved the location, property, and getting to know our neighbors :) The space was absolutely magical - extremely clean, beautiful furniture and the most comfortable king bed to sleep in every night! If you’re looking for the most relaxing getaway to test out your time living in Sonoma, this is an amazing option and it was super central to being able to explore tons of areas like Healdsburg, St Helena, Sebastopol, Calistoga, Etc. We loved all the amazing hikes, food, wineries, and stunning landscapes during our time staying at the Mound property! Can’t wait to come back!

Enchanting Fall Getaway

What a fabulous place to spend a month! Catherine and Dave are gracious hosts who welcome you to their piece of paradise with a champagne toast and an overflowing amount of helpful tips to enjoy this gorgeous part of Northern California. And as an unexpected perk, we were even treated to a lovely sailboat excursion in the San Francisco Bay, complete with a warm lunch of clam chowder and sourdough bread. The apartment itself is very well-appointed with high end finishes, a fully stocked kitchen, a comfy king-sized bed, ample storage and a spacious master bath. The grounds are lush. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Sonoma Valley wine country, book this place. Unforgettable.
