The House on Blue Waters is modest at first blush, but the view of the crystal clear lake and mountains in this fall season made a lasting impression. Canoes and kayaks, with safety gear on site allowed the family to launch onto the lake from the dock and become one with that view! Lots of little details, like the Tesla charger, to a dedicated gas feed for the Weber grill and fireplace indoors left my wife, cousin's family, and I wanting for nothing. This house is essentialism embodied, but essentially also a perfect getaway.
Nice place, very convenient for lake activities. Just a suggestion on those bringing a boat…Go straight to the Marina and drop the boat and trailer prior to going to the house. That road is tricky pulling a trailer.
Always a great stay here! Lovely home with plenty of space and a well kept dock/deck and organized outdoor space for all watersports gear. The host is very easy to communicate with and is super helpful with any questions.
My husband and I had a great time, the house was perfect. We rented a pontoon from the local marina and it was so beautiful exploring the lake and amazing scenery. Will definitely be back.
The house was very clean with a lot of light and great view of the lake and mountains. Several decks and a dock to enjoy the lake. We had a wonderful vacation, I highly recommend this property. Many activities in the area, make sure to visit the Tapoco Tavern.
Lake Santeetlah is a very relaxed place to take a break from the daily rat race. The property is ideally located and well appointed with the necessary comforts. Everyone we met at the lake was very friendly and helpful. A truly relaxing break.
Loved this place. The view from the back is easily the best out of all the other homes in the cove. The interior is very comfortable with lots of room and a well stocked kitchen. It may have just been the time of year but it was very quiet around the cove and incredibly peaceful. It’s perfectly located around the nearby scenic drives as well so it’s an ideal location.
We love staying at the house on blue waters. It has everything we need including laundry and an amazing view. I have dozens of pictures from the deck as I watched the clouds dance and the sun set. We will be returning next year for our 3rd year.
We so enjoyed our stay! The hosts seemed to have thought through every detail to make guests comfortable. Everything was labeled and easy to find. The water equipment was all clean and ready to use (we loved canoeing on the lake!).The house had wonderful views and good books to read on its incredible porch. This time it was just adults, but we look forward to coming back and enjoying this special place with our kids.
Thanks so much for the hospitality!
Our stay was over the arctic cold Christmas weekend. We couldn’t have been in a better place. The stunning views of the lake surrounded by mountains was breathtakingly beautiful. The cabin was cozy and warm- and the gas fireplace added the perfect touch. Everything was clean and comfortable. Planning to return in summer months for life on the water experience. Can’t wait.
We fell in love with this property last summer and couldn’t wait to return this year. We enjoy how peaceful Lake Santeetlah is. All the amenities offered at this property allow you enjoy the lake to the fullest. From paddling to watching sunsets on the dock, there is never a dull moment.
Communication with the owners is always quick and they provide the most relaxing experience.
Our family is already counting down the days until next summer. It truly feels like a home away from home.
Wonderfully warm and often full sun for most of our stay (late October). We enjoyed trying the two kayaks, then settled on the square stern canoe for a couple of longer trips (6 miles each). We hiked several trails in the general area, and had a very pleasant Halloween evening dinner at Tapoco Lodge & Tavern. We made a longer drive to Maggie Valley to visit the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum. Among the conveniences we enjoyed were the coffee maker, the gas grill on the outdoor deck, and the laundry room. The house was well appointed, quiet, and clean. The view to the west, from the kitchen/dining room/great room, through the large sliding glass doors was wonderful. And of course, sitting outside on the deck to watch the sun set was amazing. The comfort and convenience of this house helped to make our honeymoon memorable!
I often am disappointed upon arrival to find that a rental has been glamorized by the photos and copy, but is not what we’d expected. This place exceeded my hopes.
Clean, bright, attractive living spaces. Comfortable beds. Excellent appliances. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes and cookware.
The view is gorgeous and can be enjoyed from three outdoor spaces—two decks and the dock— that are easy to access. The boats and paddle boards offer all kinds of ways to explore the lake and enjoy the water.
The owner was consistently kind and hospitable, and responded quickly and helpfully to all my questions.
This lake offers clear, clean water for swimming. While we didn’t catch any fish, we did receive a visit from three curious otters.
Two night quick trip to the lake. It was everything we needed. The views are unbeatable and the property was as described. Lots of water toys to enjoy.
We love coming back to the House on Blue Waters every year. The lake is beautiful. We love hiking, kayaking, swimming, boating, biking (in Cades Cove on Wednesdays), paddleboarding. The house has comfortable beds and a kitchen with all the pots, pans etc that we need.
We always have a fantastic time at this home, with this being our 3rd stay here. Host is always very responsive and willing to help if anything comes up. No questions on this trip and got to enjoy beautiful weather while there.
This is a great place to stay while in the area for motorsports events. Parking is tight, but the house and its location are great. Will book this again if we come back to the area!
Once again Lake Santeelah was a peaceful and fun vacation site. The house was small but worked perfectly for having our children and their families come one at a time, leaving us a couple of nights alone. There are so many amazing lake “toys” available that we only brought our favorite tubes. There were plenty of linens and the futon couch was comfortable. Cute house in a quiet cove. Enjoy! We did:)
