Beautiful Cabin on private lake close to all the attractions in the Eastern UP!

Come for a get away at Papa’s Place!!! This newly remodeled cabin sits on a quiet, private lake, with a large main floor, master bedroom, and a loft with a pair of twin beds. You will find a fully furnished kitchen, brand new appliances, and spacious dining area. A great place for relaxing, you can take a ride around the lake in a paddle boat, fish off of the dock, or have some S’mores around the campfire. Enjoy the sunrise over the lake while sitting next to a cozy fireplace in the cold months, or from the deck in the warm months. Crank up the AC if you need to cool off! Located just off of I-75, and situated between Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace, it is the perfect gathering spot to enjoy all that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. Just over 1 mile from the Chippewa County Airport, and only a 15 mile drive from the Soo Locks. For the winter months, it is conveniently located within a hundred yards of some of the best snowmobiling trails in the Eastern Upper Peninsula!

Gorgeous lake view. Beautifully designed and maintained home. Conveniently located near I-75, halfway be St. Ignace and Sault St. Marie. We spent several hours on the deck, enjoying the warm sun, cool breezes, and relaxing scenery. — The master bed could have been more comfortable.

Stayed with 3 of my siblings and it was wonderful! Kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill for dinner on the deck. Very peaceful! We actually met Vanessa and her daughters when we arrived. Very nice family! We will definitely book again!

The place is absolutely beautiful- actually, a lot better than the photos in the listing. It was spotless, and we loved the interior and decor. The lake view was truly the cherry on top. We did face a minor issue with the restroom not flushing properly due to a full septic tank, but everything else went smoothly. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. It was a great quiet location, the lake was the perfect size, the deck and living room was serene to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Perfect distance to town for amenities.

Up north getaway

This is perfectly located in the middle of eastern upper peninsula. Easy to get to all the surrounding towns. Very nice cabin and the lake is great for fishing.

Great place by the water

Very clean and quiet. Great place to stay. Had BBQ hamburger while sitting on deck looking at water. Very peaceful. After dinner, had fire in firepit and relaxed beside fire while enjoying the lake. Will stay again.

Nice Place on a Small Lake

We enjoyed our stay and it was just what we needed as a jumping off point for visiting Sault St. Marie and Mackinac Island as well as some down time on the lake front. A few minor quibbles - no soap for the shower, no pads on the chairs on the deck, and the bed in the master bedroom could use a new mattress (rolls to the middle).

The cabin was perfect for us. It had everything we needed. There was minor traffic noise in the morning but nothing terrible. Easy drive to St Ignace, the falls and Sault St Marie.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful property tucked away on a peaceful lake. The interior is welcoming and has a home away from home feel. It is stock full of all the necessities. The lake is great for taking a ride on the paddle boat and for fishing! My only caution is if you are looking to swim in the lake, I would be prepared for lily pads and soft dirt on the shoreline.

We had a delightful one-night stay at this cozy cabin, conveniently situated just off I-75, an ideal base for exploring the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. Its serene lakeside location provided a fantastic setting for a beautiful bonfire, enhancing our evening with magical ambiance. Despite our short stay, the tranquility of the lake and the comforting warmth of the bonfire etched beautiful memories in our hearts. We wish we had more time to enjoy the serene mornings and captivating scenery. This cabin is a gem, and we look forward to returning for a longer stay to fully appreciate its charm.

Great Cozy Cabin

This cozy cabin was very clean and nicely maintained. If you love cabin decor this is perfect. Updated appliances and everything you need for cooking. Plenty of room for the 3 adults in our group, with room for more. Nice deck with wonderful view of the lake. No TV or wifi but that wasn't an essential for us with just a weekend stay. Owner/manager was very nice and provided good communication about our stay. I highly recommend!
