Great little condo with plenty of space for 2. Bed was comfortable. It was a long walk to the business district but there is plenty of parking if you choose to drive.
This was our second time staying at property. All good. Easy check in. Property owner easy to work with. Place very clean and walkable to beach and town. Highly recommend.
The condo was very clean. The furniture comfortable. Access to the beach was short walk. Down town Venice a very short drive or 15 min walk. Our host was easy to reach even though he was on west coast at a wedding! Off season Venice not too crowded. Was easy to get dinner reservations and not too much traffic. Would definitely stay again.
Very clean, amazing location, and seemless check in/out. Already planning another getway with the wife at this location. We had an amazing time and the location made it very easy to enjoy our trip with minimal driving. The rental was in awesome shape and had way more value than i was exspecting for the price. I would recommend over and over! I just wish it had another room or pull out bed so i could bring friends or family to enjoy the space next time. That being said, if your locing for an awesome location to share a getaway with your spouse. This is it!
Nice condo a block away from Venice beach. Sunsets are gorgeous. Main Street is within biking or walking distance. Size of condo is good for a couple. Full functional kitchen with pretty much everything you need. No balcony or view though which is fine with the beach that close. There is a courtyard if you’d like to sit outside. When we went it was just too hot at that time. But we did bike through town. The owner replied very quickly with any questions we had. Nice stay.

Beware
The A/C did not work two of the three nights we stayed. There was no offer of a credit, even after the unit started leaking inside and I kept the host from serious water damage by emptying buckets to catch the water. The unit is ok, a little dank and dark. The mattress is hard and the pillows are like rocks. The host has run power cords through the walls against code. I think VRBO would have a serious problem with this.
The property is tiny, but very clean and richly decorated. It looks like the owner takes very good care of it. However, there is no "view" out of it.
Owner is very accommodative with check-in process. He notified us when the property was ready, which was 2 hours before the stated check-in type.
Few concerns:
We did not find the mattress to be hard, as other reviewer mentioned. But it is a bit saggy closer to the headboard. Regular rotation may help for more uniform wear, or it may be due for replacement.
Standard pillows are hard as a rock. Impossible to sleep on. King size pillows are OK, but we had to buy new pillow cases, as the ones provided looked more decorative, than sleeping on.
There is no cable TV, and we found the "U-tube" type TV service extremely inconvenient with very poor free content.
The building stairs closest to the apartment are all rusted out and look structurally compromised, and thus dangerous to use. Not sure how the village allows the use without repair and why HOA does not make repairs. Not the owners fault though.
The beach is very close, but is the worst one on the Florida Gulf Coast we have seen. It is steep, the sand is coarse and brownish. The water is dirty with floating sewage-like seaweed. A huge sewage pipe is right on the beach.
Venice Downtown is in a walkable distance. However, all shops are closing at 5:30pm. Not sure what type of business is that.
We LOVED this place ~ so~much~so that we want to move here!! EVERYTHING is within walking distance!! We found shark's teeth and saw wildlife on the beach!!
We will be back!!
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. We were so impressed that I felt compelled to write this review. It was BY FAR the cleanest property I've stayed at. Communication was top notch with Michael, the host. The listing was exactly as described, which in my experience I find many aren't. Property one block from the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful and the condo was very well stocked. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. Would return again. Pics don't do it justice!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. It was located in a great spot- super short walk to the beach and town, close to major roads to explore other areas, and very quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Michael was very prompt in responding to any question and made our stay very smooth.
Very nice apartment. Very clean. There’s a nice common area to relax and enjoy the Florida sun. However the real attraction is very short walk to the beach. All in all a gorgeous place that can go wrong with.
We stayed one week at this condo that is located only a couple of minutes walking distance to the beach. The condo was extremely clean and the kitchen had all the necessary items for us to cook. Upon our arrival we stopped at Trader Joe’s and picked up some things to make breakfast and lunches during our stay. The condo had plenty of bathroom towels, beach towels, and 2 beach chairs which fit nicely into our rental car to transport to local beaches. The king size bed was comfortable and the large closet had plenty of room for us to hang our clothes. The location couldn’t be any better while staying in Venice. It’s just stellar. We didn’t but you can easily walk to downtown which has incredible food and an unbelievable French pastry shop, and the Caspersen Beach is only a 6 minute drive. The coffee pot was not working properly day 2 of our stay and Michael promptly replaced it with a great attitude. To make this stay even better would have been to have more paper products. I did go out and purchase more toilet paper and paper towels. However because we enjoyed our stay so much we decided to extend it longer and stay some extra days, which turned into needing more paper products. When we come back to Venice we will stay here again!
This little condo was the perfect place for my husband and I . We loved the location!! Such a short walk to the beach and short 9 min drive to Casperson Beach. We regretted not bringing our bikes to ride!! Everything is within riding distance!!! We will most certainly be back to stay!!! The best word to sum of the location and condo is PERFECTION!!! Plus Micheal is extremely helpful and willing to give great advice on where to visit!!
I expected a basic type of property with a good location, which it was. Unfortunately it was so basic that toilet paper was not provided. Our flight was delayed and we got to the condo at midnight when stores are not open. As one would expect, that left a bad 1st impression.
