Nice homey oceanfront cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this dog friendly property. It was like a home away from home. They did a great job with the inside renovations. My family and I loved watching the spectacular sunset from the back deck and playing in the ocean. I would stay at this property again for an Oak Island vacation.

Thanks for a Great Stay Better Beach Rentals!!

Highly recommend this beach rental!! It fit our family of 3 perfectly & even spoiled our fur babe by having her own room! The front & back porches were wonderful to watch sunrises & sunsets! And we LOVED the walkway to the beach access, that's where we spent most of our time, it was like our own little 'pier'! We will definitely use this rental again if we are ever back in the Oak Island area!! Thanks again Better Beach Rentals!!

We enjoyed this quaint, somewhat small rental house. Nice decor including white beamed ceiling. Needs bedside table in master, new screen door and small touches here and there. Ceiling light out in one room and dryer seemed to be near end of useful life. Overall good experience.

Quaint home in great location

We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the beach. Check in/out process was easy. Home seems to have recently been updated and has great potential, but the interior could stand a good deep clean. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths which is great for families. The mattresses in all four rooms were not very comfortable and likely should be updated. The outdoor decks/boardwalk was great with wonderful ocean views.

We enjoyed our stay minus a couple issues. I'll start by saying the location and views are amazing. The back deck is awesome!! I really like the layout of the house and how each room had its own bathroom. The house also comes with an outdoor shower which was not advertised so nice surprise. The house was generally clean but could use a deep clean. The beds in the 2 ocean view rooms were very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Housekeeping did not leave any dish/dishwater soap or any sponges so we had to go to store for that. Our biggest issue was that the washer and dryer did not work. The washer spin cycle does not drain any water so the clothes are sopping wet. The dryer does not dry well. Had to hang all our clothes on the back railing. We would absolutely stay here again if these issues got resolved.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the amazing views, back deck, home layout, and private bathrooms for each room. It’s also great to know the outdoor shower was a nice bonus during your stay! We appreciate you bringing the cleanliness concerns, bed comfort, and missing kitchen supplies to our attention, and we’ll be sure to share those comments with our housekeeping and management teams for review. We also sincerely apologize for the issues with the washer and dryer, as we understand how frustrating and inconvenient that must have been during your stay. Your feedback has been shared with maintenance for follow-up and inspection. Thank you again for staying with us, and we truly appreciate hearing that you would consider returning in the future.
