The Space:
Goat Wall Retreat is a charming vacation home nestled on 26 acres of lush woodland and meadow, just a mile up Lost River Road from the Mazama Country Store. Enjoy direct access to the Methow Valley trail system, right from your doorstep. This cozy retreat boasts four bedrooms: a king and queen downstairs, with a set of twins and a single upstairs. The well-appointed kitchen features a gas range and dishwasher, while the spacious light-filled living room, with double-height corner windows, a stone chimney, and gas fireplace, invites relaxation. Amenities include a washer and dryer, telephone, and WIFI access (please note there is no TV). Unwind in the Jacuzzi tub after a day of adventure, then grill up a feast on the large outside deck with a propane BBQ.

The Neighborhood:
Goat Wall Retreat is situated in the Upper Methow Valley a short ways down Lost River Road from the Mazama Store, Pub and Trailhead. Its also a short drive to key trailheads in the North Cascades National Park, ideal for avid hikers. For more extensive amenities and entertainment, Winthrop is just a 20-minute drive, boasting charming shops, eateries, and cultural attractions, including the Shafer Museum. Throughout the year, Winthrop hosts lively events like the Rhythm and Blues Festival and the Vintage Car Rally, ensuring there's always something exciting to explore.
Getting Around:
To reach the home from Seattle and the westside between May to November, take Highway 20 and Washington Pass. In winter routes are via I-90, Snoqualmie Pass, Bluett Pass, or Highway 2 over Stevens Pass. These routes offer scenic drives, forming the Cascade Loop. Check WSDOT for travel information and pass closures.
Once you're here, Mazama is just a couple minutes drive away, while Winthrop is under 20 minutes south on Highway 20.

The Inn Pool - guests of our cabin may use The Inn at Mazama outdoor pool (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and tennis/pickleball court located at 15 Country Road in Mazama. The cost to use the pool is $10/guest/day and you should check in at the front desk before heading to the pool. The Inn also has a co-working space and private offices available to rent by the day in case you need space to work during your stay.
