Ohio graduation

We were in Ohio for our granddaughters graduation. It was a quick trip up but we wished we could have stayed longer. The house was exactly what we needed! It is a beautiful property that is beautifully appointed. It was exactly what we needed!!

RVA Downtown

I wanted a downtown vibe and that’s what this location provided. Very clean! Although, there were a couple minor issues, they were addressed immediately.

As Advertised

Nice apartment within a larger old building. Perfect for our evening out. We did dinner at Rappahannock (2 blocks away) and a show at The National (5 or 6 blocks). And best part was the walk up pizza place across the street. We got a couple slices at 12:30 am on the way back home. No issues with this place.

Good place!

It's a good place to stay and accurately listed. It's a little dim inside compared to the pictures but overall a good place. I didn't like that you can hear all of the running water every time you flush a toilet but it wasn't terrible for a Richmond. Worth the price if you are considering it.

Richmond Gem

We stayed over a long weekend for a wedding in Richmond. This property was a delight. Beautifully decorated, fully functioning kitchen, 2 1/2 baths (which is important when three adult women are getting ready for the same event). Wonderful location close to Perly's Diner for breakfast. Overnight parking in the garage down the block was super affordable ($7 per day). Can't rave enough about this propery. If we find ourselves in Richmond again, I'll definitely book again.

New Year Eve Getaway

The property was nice, in a central location and the check in process was seamless. Communication with the property manager was more through a third party located in a different state but they responded timely. The only concern that we had was the overflowing trash in the dumpster and how close the dumpster is to the back door.

Nice place

It is clean and very charming. It's an apartment so expect to hear the neighbors every now and then. There is parking across the street.. $7 for 24 hours. There is also 30 day parking available. We needed assistance in getting inside, so we called the property manager whose number was provided to us. We were figuring it out as soon as we called but he was kind enough to explain it to us. Overall it was a nice experience and I would come here again.

The property was in a fairly good location and had enough room for guests. It was nicely decorated. The significant issue is that the property stated it slept up to 5 people. It definitely does not. There were two beds, that slept up to two per bed. There was not another place for a 5th person to sleep. There was a small, shallow leather sofa that was not a sofa bed. It was not in any way a place for anyone to sleep on. The other big issue was that there was not enough warm bedding. One bed has only a sheet and a very thin cotton bedspread on it. No spare blankets in a closet. This was unacceptable for sleeping comfortably.

Check in and out was easy. Extremely wonderful communication with the host. The loft was very clean but a few things need to be addressed that I saw others complain of as well. The bed in the one bedroom is not comfortable. One side of the bed sinks down and the other side is higher up and harder. You wake up with a stiff neck and back. The bathroom that is attached to that same bedroom, the sink drains extremely slow and gets backed up. Apartment above was loud both nights for a few hours between 11-2 am. The couch downstairs in livingroom sinks back some when sitting. Osrking garage 2 min walk and was very helpful and not expensive. Overall an ok stay.

Sisterly Convention

The location was perfect to the convention center. While the place was visibly clean there were some issues. It didn’t quite look like the pictures. The sinks didn’t drain the water from the upstairs bathroom leaked downstairs. Maintenance said someone showered w/out putting the liner in the tub, which wasn’t true, because we had no hot water since Friday morning. We were unable to shower before meetings on Saturday. Saturday night when the shower was on it leaked through the ceiling again.Last, Sunday morning I wanted to toast a bagel only to find the oven dirty . It appeared as though something had spilled over.. we sent several emails to Mainstay.

Great location, terrible check in

After driving for several hours, the check-in was terrible. The front lock didn't open; a resident of the building had to let us in. They also confirmed that there have been issues with the lock box. Once we got to the room, we couldn't open the door as the instructions were not correct. After a few calls, we did get in. We also were instructed to get the other key fob from the other door, but the code was wrong to get into the lock box. Another call. The apartment was not very clean; the vents where filthy. The kitchen was not equipped at all for 4 people; there was not enough silverware or plates. Luckily, we had brought our own. It is a warehouse, and noise is an issue. The location was good; it is great for walking to museums and a couple of good restaurants just a few blocks away. There is a great parking garage across the street.

An OK Place in Heart of the City

Spent 4 nights. Was leary of the location ... did not feel safe walking out on my own. Unit was fairly clean. Unit was dark. Only had one outside window in a bedroom .. blinds no work so could not let light in. Kitchen spigot sprayed everywhere. Personal impression is the place is in need of some updates/TLC. Outside door fob sometimes worked & sometimes did not ... made host aware, but half the time the door did not latch so anyone could walk in & sign on door advised do not pull door shut. Beds were hard, previous tennant dirty towel found in dresser drawer (left it there). Upstairs tennants were loud .. walking around @ night with noisy fighting.

Pictures Are Misleading

My friends and I stayed for 1 night while we were in town for a comedy show. The best part of this unit is the responsiveness of the hosts. They responded to me within minutes to any of my concerns. Also, the space is very clean. Upon walking into the building, we were instantly struck by the strong odor of marijuana. The instructions given by the hosts are outdated (they said we needed to put in a pin at the front door to get a key fob, but that was not true). The unit itself has no windows that open to the outside. The pictures on the listing shows that the space is bright and well lit when in fact, it is extremely dark without any natural lighting. The kitchen sink was broken and the kitchen trash can was broken. In the middle of the night (between 3-6 am), we heard the neighbors very loudly having conversations. It felt claustrophobic and uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this place.

More like an extended stay hotel

The unit was not only roomy, but also impeccably clean, and decorated with a nice touch. It was located in a great location in downtown Richmond. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the inefficient check-in process. We found ourselvesan alternative unit on the morning of our scheduled arrival. The online check-inly failed to process my payment, despite multiple attempts scrambling for system repeated. The unit is an apartment building, and access is through a security door facing the street using a FOB. The FOB works intermittently. When it does not work, you wait for another tenant to enter the door or go around the block to the back door entrance. It is corporately owned rather than owned by a private investor. Our usual VRBO rentals with private owners are treated more like hosts and have welcome touches, such as a bottle of wine and, most often, coffee and tea offerings. If the renters need is to simply stay in a unit that is more hotel like, this will fit the bill. It is a nice unit in a nice location. I am confident the company can correct the FOB problem. Perhaps the payment processing was also not typical.
