Excellent location and property! Both the main house and separate two bedroom space with kitchen and bathroom above garage were just what we needed. And Grill and fire pit made for a great overall experience.

Everything was good, but I do wish that the hand and shower soaps had been full when we arrived. The location was extremely quiet with beautiful views!

A quiet setting with beautiful views is exactly what we hope guests find here, and we're glad that came through during your stay. Thank you for flagging the supplies on arrival, which we have passed along to our team so it can be addressed. We appreciate you taking the time to share both. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again.

Was a great house for the 4th. Our family loved it. Had lots of firewood and access to beach wasn't too bad (if you don't mind a short hike). Only major negative was the door would auto-lock nearly instantly which was a bit of a frustrating experience for a group going in and out

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the Fourth — we're so glad your family loved the house and made the most of the firewood and beach access! A short hike to the sand is a small trade for that kind of setting. We hear you on the auto-locking door; that quick lock can definitely be a hassle for a group coming and going, and we've passed your feedback along to our team to look into. Thank you for celebrating the holiday with us, and we'd love to welcome you back anytime.

We loved the location! The separate living spaces were great for our extended family with young children! We enjoyed the outdoor space next to the lovely old growth forest setting and fire pit for roasting marshmallow/S’mores. Our only criticism would be the faulty stove and oven in the main house. It was difficult to regulate the stove top temperature settings and the oven kept turning off during baking and cooking. We all took turns cooking and agreed the stove needs replacing. Other than that our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you for a fabulous time!

We're so glad the separate living spaces worked well for your extended family, and that the young ones had room to spread out. The old growth forest setting and evenings around the fire pit with s'mores sound like exactly the kind of stay we hope guests have. Thank you for flagging the appliance issue in the main house as well, which we've passed along to our team so it can be properly addressed. We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we would love to welcome you back anytime.

Our group of 10 really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space and it is in a great location. Close to the beach and to the nice little town of Manzanita. Easy to get to the 101. It was clean and the the communication with our host was excellent. The fire pit area was a great place to hang out. Beautiful views from the decks. We'd stay here again!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad the home offered plenty of space for your group of 10 and that the location near the beach, Manzanita, and the 101 made everything easy to access. It's also great to hear that the fire pit area and deck views became favorite spots, and that communication was excellent throughout. We would love to welcome your whole group back anytime!

The location is superb, perched high above the water with a beautiful forest behind the house. Big trees all around. A great view of the ocean from high above. You could hear the ocean but as a pleasant background sound rather than the roar of ocean front. We all enjoyed it immensely. But I do have two complaints abut this property: there are no outside lights on the back patio and it’s very dark. They have a great fire pit that we used every night but there is a step up that’s very hard to see and people tripped over it many times. Some lights strung overhead would solve that problem and add ambience. My other issue is that the master bedroom has a queen bedroom attached to it with a door that only has a curtain, not a solid door. This would not work for 2 couples, only for a family with kids.

That ocean soundtrack drifting up through the trees sounds like the perfect backdrop to nightly fire pit sessions! Thank you for the thoughtful notes, especially the step visibility concern, which we've shared with our team, along with your bedroom layout feedback for the listing. We'd love your return!

Our family had a nice week at Sea Grove. Enjoyable property for a large family or group stay, however like many popular rentals the place is showing some wear.Little things given the upper-end price: Kitchen range was hard to use given all markings were worn off, no clue whether burners were Hi/Low which made cooking certain foods tough. Ice Maker was inoperative, we needed to buy ice all week. Hosts sent appliance repair Tech mid-week, but was unable to fix issue. A few of the mattresses (including Master) are nearing end-of-life.

Thank you for the thoughtful and fair feedback. We're glad your family had a nice week at Sea Grove and that the property served your group well, but we hear you on the details that should be sharper given what you paid. The worn range markings, the ice maker, and the mattresses nearing the end of their life have all been passed along to our team so we can get them addressed. We do appreciate you flagging the ice maker mid-week and giving our repair tech the chance to take a look, even if it wasn't a quick fix. Your input genuinely helps us keep the home at the standard it should be, and we'd welcome the chance to host your family again.

Great for Family Gatherings

The location was quiet, but convenient to the beach and town. The layout of the rooms was ideal to provide space for privacy as well as family meals and play. My favorite spot was the front upper deck with a view and the sound of the ocean.

Great family gathering home

We had our entire family gather here for our holiday and couldn’t have been more pleased. The photos don’t do the view and property justice and it is closer to the beach than we realized so we walked down several times a day. A great choice for our group! Seemed cozy but also spread out at the same time.
