About this property
Sasquatch Cabin- 3 Miles From Cherokee Natl Forest
The Sasquatch Cabin is located in the beautiful SE TN mountains. It has a full kitchen & will sleep four to six people. It has a queen sized bed in the bedroom, a full size foldout couch in the living room that is super comfy, & two futons on the screened in porch that will sleep two more depending on the time of year. It has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi, & a fire pit. On our 26 acres we also have a 9 hole disc golf course and a covered pavilion with grills for your enjoyment.
Our cabin rentals, disc golf course, and covered pavilion with grills for cookouts are open year round. We also have a whitewater rafting company onsite and would love to get out on the river with you, so please let us know if you are interested in making a reservation to go rafting. That way we can be sure to schedule one of our professional whitewater river guides in advance for your trip. In addition to whitewater rafting, the Ocoee River area offers great hiking trails including several spectacular waterfalls, boating on nearby Parksville Lake, top notch mountain biking trails in a scenic setting, glider rides, geocaching, and more.
Whitewater rafting trip are offered on the Ocoee River March through October. The Ocoee River was the site for the 1996 whitewater Olympic events and has action packed class 3-4 rapids. It is one of the top whitewater destinations in the entire country. Our property is located just two miles off the main road so it is very accessible, but is also in a beautiful country setting. We are less then three miles from the Cherokee National Forest that offers all kinds of additional outdoor activities.
The Sasquatch cabin has it's own private fire pit with camp chairs. Additionally, all guests are welcome to utilize our nine hole disc golf course and our covered pavilion with charcoal grills for cookouts. Please remember to bring some charcoal if you plan to grill out. Feel free to hike around and explore our 26 acre property. There is a lot of wildlife here. We regularly see deer wandering through the property and get to hear the hoot owls at dusk. We also have some amazing spots for star gazing that won't be dimmed by the city lights.
The phones are always forwarded to either my cell phone or my manager's cell phone, so we are easy to get in touch with.
Our property is located outside of the city and is not within a neighborhood. Enjoy a beautiful country setting with mountain views on our 26-acre property.
We have plenty of parking on our property, but there is no public transportation nearby. The nearest airport is in Chattanooga, TN and is approximately a 45 minute drive from us. We are located at 702 Welcome Valley Road, Benton, TN 37307. There are rental cars available in Chattanooga and then it would be a short drive to our place.
If you forget an item, we have shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste available upon request.
Welcome to the Sasquatch cabin. There are two air conditioner units in the cabin that can be turned on in the summer. In the winter, there are a total of three heaters that can be used to heat the cabin. Each heater has two switches. One switch turns on the electric fireplace lights and does not control the heat. The other switch turns on the heat and there is also a thermostat knob that can be adjusted to the desired heat level.
The cabin has a Wifi network name Sasquatch and the password is Welcome1. There is a Roku player connected to the TV that will enable it to be used as a smart TV. Also, there is a DVD player connected to the TV and some DVD's that we have provided. To watch a DVD you will need to hit the input button on the remote for the TV and change the source.
There are linens for the fold out couch in the living room and for the futons on the screened in porch located in the armoire in the bedroom. Extra pillows and blankets can be found there as well. Additionally, in the living room there is a trunk by the main entrance door that has some kids games and family games that can be played.
There is a fire pit located near the Sasquatch cabin that you are welcome to use. Please be sure to put out all fires before leaving and do not leave a fire unattended. We have extra camp chairs available upon request that can be used by the fire.
We have charcoal grills located at our covered pavilion with picnic tables that you are welcome to use. The covered pavilion is a shared area that can also be used by other guests. Additionally, we have a nine hole frisbee disc golf course that you are welcome to play. Located at the first building on the right when you pull onto the property you will see a basketball goal that you are welcome to use. On the porch of that same building you will find a ping pong table that can be used by all guests as well.
