Etowah's Cottage - dog friendly, king beds, hiking, rafting, motorcycles

Centrally located dog friendly home, for families or couples to access the Cherokee National Forest. The Cottage is located in a residential neighborhood in the quaint historic railroad town of Etowah. Walking distance to antique shops, local businesses, playground, dog park and community pool. Easy access to the Hiwassee River, Ocoee River, the Cherokee National Forest. Chattanooga and Knoxville are 60 min away and Gatlinburg is 90 min away. Fenced yard and fully enclosed front porch for pets or kids. Two king bedrooms and 2 full baths. Please note there is a deck in the back that is not currently in use and will be torn down soon in order to re-side the house.

Dogs gated in kitchen or crated if alone. Dog bowls in kitchen or laundry room only; guest assumes all risk associated with transport/use of canoe
Pest control comes every first Friday, subject to change. They have code to enter. Pet /child friendly spraying in and out. Lawn service weekly.
Longer stays greater than 14 days will require additional intermittent cleaning service; fee TBD; contact host. No candles or open flames in cottage

Epic Motorcycle Tripping

Very comfortable place to stay. Quick access to the mountains for some of the most beautiful roads to ride motorcycles. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch after a long day of riding.

Loved the porch’s beds were very come .the kitchen is well appointed and easy to move around.The only thing I would suggest is to install grab bars in the shower.Wonderful comfortable

Perfect place to stay while visiting family!

To preface this: there was an issue with my check-in. The host was very accommodating and very kind during this issue. She went above and beyond what I expected. The house itself was lovely and I would be happy to stay there again! It makes visiting family so easy as I have a dog that is a little complicated to say the least.

The cottage was beautiful. Proximity to family was around a quarter mile away. Very clean and accessible. The driveway was a bit narrow for parking for a full size truck. Found a bunch of deck screws and nails on the back deck and driveway. Thankfully I had my shoes on ended up with a nail in the in my shoe. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely vacation there again next year

This house was perfect for our weekend trip to the area. The house was clean and cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed , very cute property, and great communication with the host! Just wish we could have stayed longer!

It was very comfy and just unique and homey. The fenced yard was a plus since we had a dog. The bed was comfy. I would stay there again should I be in the area.

Cottage Getaway

The cottage was very comfortable beds were excellent. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The fenced in yard was great for our little ones. Front porch with swing and rocking chairs, perfect relaxing little hideaway!

GRAND GRAD TRIP

Our Granddaughter and Great Nephew graduated High School! The home was GREAT! The grass was a little tall and about the time i noticed it, a super polite gentleman asked permission to mow it. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It was way nicer than a hotel!!! Thanks for your Hospitality!

Best Little House in Town

A great little get away home. The house is comfortable and quaint. Two king beds (very comfortable mattress) for the adults and 2 fold up cots for the kids. Master bath has a old style clawfoot tub that it usable, as well as the shower. Water pressure is good and strong! Kitchen was very clean. K cups are furnished if needed, we used some of theres and some of ours. Washer and dryer available if needed. Pet friendly, with a fenced in backyard. We will be back!

Disruptive and disturbing

Place was not clean. Food crumbs on the floors. Small and claustrophobic. Had planned a month but spent more time at a hotel and checked out early. Something in the cottage was giving us red long welts. There was a dirty drug abuser asking for rides and the cops were called to the same house every few nights 1-2 in the morning. Advised the property manager and she only wanted pictures so she could address the issues. Like we thought to grab a camera and take pictures of the cops outside our house with flashlights trying to call the neighbors. We never asked her for anything but felt disregarded, would never stay or recommend
