Historic Information: Home to Depaul University and the Zoo, Lincoln Park is a Bucolic Family Neighborhood where dogs and children roam. Named in honor of Abraham Lincoln, the land was, up until 1860, home to a 60 acre cemetery, which later became a beautiful 1,200 acre public park, the city's largest today. The neighborhood boasts of boutiques, fine dining, theaters, and the famous blues club Kingston Mines. If you look hard enough, you'll spot historic homes and mansions tucked away behind manicured hedges.
