Cooperstown is famous for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. However, even non-baseball fans love the stunning surroundings. Between Otsego Lake, the rolling hills, eclectic shops, restaurants, and museums, there truly is no place like Cooperstown!

A little background...
Both cottages date back to 1810 and are located on Oaks Creek (a locally known trout creek) just 2 miles from Cooperstown, NY. We just recently purchased them from the family that lived here over 8 decades while raising 3 generations! Though we have put a ton of blood, sweat, and yes...even some tears into renovations, it has always been with the goal of providing guests with welcoming vacation homes that honor history while bringing in modern updates and style. You will see that our hard work has resulted in eclectic, cheery, and welcoming cottages framed by the stunning views of Oaks Creek!

As 5 Star Hosts, we have offered our "Front Cottage" since 2019 (**not offered for 2025 season**), and our "Back Cottage" since 2022!

Regardless if you rent them together or individually, we love our cottages and are truly honored to share them with you!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Return the keys
Please: -Load and start the dishwasher -Throw away opened food/drinks. You can leave unopened food, drinks, or snacks, opened condiments, anything that you would use if you were the incoming family.
Creek Towels - wash, dry, fold, and put back in the baskets. Bath towels - Leave on the bathrooms' floors. Pillows and bedding - Back on their original beds, we take care of all the rest!
Garbage - All garbage goes into the cans in the garage. Keys - Leave all doors unlocked and keys on the hook by the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Our only goal is for you to have fun, however, please be respectful of our neighbors and our cottage. Should any damage occur, please notify us ASAP.
We are on a septic so do not flush anything other than toilet paper. No-nos include, but not limited to any type of wipes, feminine products, frogs;)
Oaks Creek borders our property. Though we want to you to enjoy every aspect of it, it also comes with natural risks. Do not leave children unattend.

A perfect place for families visiting the area!

The home was a clean, had a stocked kitchen with anything you would need to cook a meal, the beds were comfortable and the updates were well thought out. The owners even left the lights on outside for us for our arrival after dark and had recommendations for dinner.

Great place to stay!

We were in town for to watch our son play at Cooperstown Dreams Park and this was the perfect place to stay! Very close to the fields, modern and clean with a beautiful view and room for our other kids to play outside in between ballgames. Highly recommend!

Perfect Cooperstown Rental!

This little home is perfect! Close to Cooperstown and Dreamspark with the "out in the country" feel!! Erin and Jim are very likely the best hosts I have ever had! They were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! I hope we get to come back with our younger grandson and would definitely stay here again!! Thank you so much Erin!!

Dreams Park stay

We loved this adorable cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and the owners were readily available in case we needed anything. If I were to say anything “negative” about the rental, it’s that there were no blinds or blackout curtains to cover windows. It felt a little weird changing/showering in front of windows with no covering and there was absolutely no sleeping past 7am. All that aside, we loved the property and hope it available when we take our 8 yr old in 4 yrs!!

Amazing Cooperstown Retread

We couldn’t have asked for better lodging for Cooperstown Dream Park. We were less than 10 minutes from the Park and less than 10 min from the Hall of Fame / Downtown. We loved having the stream in the backyard. The fishing was excellent which made my 15 year old son very happy. He also heard the bald eagles. We would even see deer in the back yard most nights. The house was very comfortable and clean. Erin was also very attentive. To sum it up we had an amazing vacation.

Unbelievable experience

Our experience at the cottage was one you dream for when it comes to renting a home. Pristinely clean, incredibly accurate photographs, very responsive owners on site should you need anything while at the same time not heavy-handed. They went over and beyond with little extras, like warm applesauce, waiting for us on the stove when we arrived and little Halloween trinkets for my three little boys when we arrived. So thoughtful and kind. Pristine property with a creek 100 yards or so off of the back deck. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a property in the area.

Perfection

I have only positive things to say about our stay. The back cabin is updated to perfection, and Erin and Jim have thought of everything. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are adorable! Erin kept in contact with us the whole time as nasty weather came through, ensuring we had everything we needed. We came here for my son's once-in-a-lifetime trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park, and the location is super convenient to go back and forth between games. The yard sits just above the creek and allows for beautiful scenery. My teens enjoyed fishing in the creek and just adventuring around the property. Highly recommend!!

Delightful stay at peaceful property

This was the perfect place for our 'home away from home' while our son played baseball at the All Star Village. The accommodations were wonderful and the drive, about 25 minutes from All Star Village, was not too bad. The property was great for some rest and relaxation and the kids had some fun in the stream behind the cottage. Super quiet at night and millions of stars to wish upon. The hosts were wonderful as well. Highly recommend staying here for your visit to Cooperstown.

Why they chose this property

I will never forget my first visit to Cooperstown. It could have been that I’ve LOVED baseball my whole life (GO YANKS!). It also could have been that the lake, town, and vacationers reminded me of the great times I had while growing up. I guess it doesn’t matter why, but I instantaneously knew that coming to Cooperstown felt like I was coming home.

What makes this property unique

I’m not going to lie and say that the cottages were flawless when purchased in November of 2018. However, those flaws were nothing in comparison to their history and the absolutely stunning property on which they are located. When we saw the lawn, Oaks Creek, fruit trees, and grapevine, we knew that we had found the perfect place for not only us to enjoy, but also to share with others!
Jim and I are so proud of the way the cottages have turned out, and hope to be your hosts very soon!
