Lakefront Chalet w/ Covered Boat Dock - Sleeps 8 - 1 Hour from Dallas

Waterfront on Cedar Creek Lake with your own covered boat dock, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 8, just an hour southeast of Dallas.

Tie up at the dock, put the paddleboards in, and let the weekend start. The covered slip is right off the property, with the canal out front and open water just around the corner. Mornings here are still water and good fishing. Evenings are the Solo Stove fire pit and whatever is on the gas grill, from a large wood deck with comfortable seating.

Three bedrooms and three full baths sleep up to 8 guests comfortably. Downstairs you'll find a king bedroom, full bath, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Upstairs is a king bedroom with a private en suite and shower. And then there's the Loft - a camp-themed retreat with four custom-built queen beds and lots of fun details to discover. The perfect kids' space (adults love it too).

The living room is the heart of the home - 4K Roku TV with basic cable, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and a record player for setting the mood. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials, including a Keurig. High-speed WiFi throughout, so you can truly WFL (Work From Lake).

Step out onto the large wood deck and take it all in. Comfortable outdoor seating, a Solo Stove fire pit, and a gas grill with peaceful canal views and open water just around the corner. Walk down the stairs to the covered boat dock, recently repaired with a new retaining wall. Three stand-up paddleboards (two inflatable) with an electric pump are stored under the back deck for your use.

Located in Malakoff, TX on Cedar Creek Lake - about 60 miles southeast of Dallas and 45 minutes from Tyler. Minutes from great vintage shopping, local restaurants, and easy lake access. The neighborhood is quiet, established, and perfect for morning walks. Our neighbors are wonderful and friendly.

Easy no-contact check-in via door code - we'll send it before arrival. Two parking spots are available in front of the garage.

For safety, we have two exterior security cameras on the property: one at the front entrance and one facing the canal. There are no cameras inside the home.

This is our family vacation home and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Wedding weekend

Graduation

Just enough space for a serene lake stay

Great little A frame on the quiet part of Cedar Creek Lake. King bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floor along with really cool "bunk" room. The four beds in the bunk room are good size, probably full/queen. Although the mattresses are soft, they are on solid frames, so beds are pretty firm. With this group of ladies, we were thankful to each have our own beds without having to climb on a top bunk, sleep on a futon, or fold-out couch. Perfect size for the six of us. Listing photos are accurate of the look and feel of the chalet, my only note would be that the areas are not as large as they appear in the photos, although there is still plenty of space. Mark & Kara have not only decorated The Chalet really nice, they've also stocked the place well. We loved the Crate And Barrel dishes, and there were large bowls and trays for snacks and serving. We cooked two of the nights, and the kitchen was well stocked. Great weather during our stay (Nov 2023) which made for nice hangout time on the back deck. We did Canton one day, and the drive was no big deal. House sits off the road just a bit, so garage is the first structure you see. Long walkway with steps to the right of the garage takes you to the house. Stairs inside are a little steep if that's a consideration for any of your guests. Just a hint, it's easier if you back down them, lol. Highly suggest breakfast at The Roost in Eustace. Cute little place, and the food and service were great

Beautiful place

Beautiful place and amazing hosts. We enjoyed our stay with friends. Great place with access to water right outside. Patio was great. We saw some christmas fireworks. Owners were easy to connect and provided all info. Property had all essentials. Hosts accommodated all the requests and responded to all our queries. Excellent communication. Living room was open and kitchen was also big. Upstairs loft was super hit with kids. Lots of lighting was good. Loved solo stove and recorder player and all decor. Host had left us a nice welcome note. House was nice and clean. Highly recommend this property. Perfect place for get away and spend time with family and friends.
