Dear Future Guests, We are not sure what items this guest wanted to have addressed. His only comments during his stay were that he had some initial trouble getting sound on the tv but then was able to get sound. He also asked when the maid service would arrive - I think he expected daily maid service. Our place does not have daily maid service and this was explained. We would have been happy to address any and all issues that may have arisen during his stay. Myron

Dear Christina, Thank you for your review. Yes, we do make it clear that we are in Waikoloa Village and not in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area. Air-conditioning is not permitted in our condo complex but there is usually a perfect onshore breeze plus we have four fans and a dehumidifier so most guests find it comfortable even in the hotter months. There are full and detailed check in instructions that are sent by VRBO to all guests 3 days before check in. The building is also labelled with an F and our condo is labelled F12.

Dear Mark, Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the sprinkler overspray and we would have had the staff correct this if we had known about the problem. It has been corrected since your stay. The dehumidifier is ultra quiet. I selected it carefully and clean it regularly. It is a bit louder than a refrigerator, but not as loud as an air conditioner would be. Air conditioners are not allowed in the condominium complex. That is why it is so quiet and peaceful. The dehumidifier is essential to reduce humidity and keep the condo cooler. We hope you stay with us again. Myron

Dear Tamara, Thank you for the overall positive review 🙏 With respect to the bed - it is two twin mattresses abutted together with a central topper to remove the seam between the mattresses. The toppermay have slipped between the mattresses during your stay but I have corrected it and now there is a seamless king size mattress feel. I would say the mattress is medium firm. I am fussy but have slept on it comfortably for months. Most other guests agree but I understand that everyone is different. Mahalo again for your review. Myron

Unfortunately, we think this is the guest’s retaliation response to construction noise in the unit above ours. The guest reported the construction noise to us during his stay and we have ensured the noise happened during the hours permitted by Waikoloa condo’s by-laws. We were not informed of any construction during the guests’ stay and as such we could not inform the guest in advance. It is unfortunate but construction must and does happen in the Waikoloa complex as it does in other complexes. The issues with the light remotes, TV remotes, sliding door and fans were reported to us only in this review. We would have been happy to address these issues if the guest had informed us during his stay. All of these issues are currently being addressed while the next guests are staying at the unit. They are very understanding and very co-operative. Please refer to other many positive reviews by our guests. We care very much about our guests’ well-being during the their stay in our condo and we are very happy to address any issues as they arise. Aloha. Owners

This guest is entitled to their opinion, but I must make some comments. First of all, this is not a basement condo. It is a full walk out onto a golf course with ocean views - as our photos clearly show. Most guests find the views of the ocean and Maui spectacular. You will not find many ocean views at our price point on the Big Island. If the guest had asked, we would have told him how to work the vertical blinds correctly and correct the lights turning on and off. We have a large walk in closet that can be used for changing cloths as well as the bathroom - all newly renovated. Most also find our bed and mattress very comfortable. Also, if this guest noted a roach, which may happen despite our traps and treatments, he should have advised us and we would have taken care of this. I do not feel that this guest's review is balanced or fair.
