Came to Philly for a girls trip. The location was great and the place was clean. A few things were broken (kitchen cabinets, cracked toilet seats) but we would stay here again!
This was a great place to stay! The neighborhood was nice, the home was clean and well kept. We enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop. Matt was a wonderful host!!
We had a great stay. Everything was easy, including the check-in/check-out process. So much easier than a hotel given that we needed 4 bedrooms. The location was great, with easy access to the subway, which we used each day that we were there. Definitely would stay there again!
Our family of seven stayed in this flat and had a wonderful time! It was clean and conveniently located next to a metro line (5 minute walk) and many bus stops that took us wherever we wanted to go. Located on a quiet street, we felt safe and secure in our surroundings. If there would be one improvement, it would be to get more kitchen ware that would make serving dinners better. Our family likes to eat breakfast and dinner at the flat and the kitchen was sometimes lacking in the basics (colander, working can opener, large serving bowls). Overall, the place was great!
We had a great experience. The place was very roomy with the updated 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere we needed to go. There was plenty of space for gathering in the kitchen/family room. We would stay here again
We really liked the home a lot. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen, well supplied, and the cleanliness impressive. The real home run, of course, is the rooftop patio. It has a spectacular view of downtown Philadelphia and is a great place for coffee in the morning or wine at night. Our only suggestion for an improvement would be to have some bedside lamps for reading. We very much liked our stay and would definitely come back.
There were 5 adults and we stayed 1 night. The house was perfect. Very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was nice we could each have our own space/beds. The roof top is really a nice space even though we did t really get the chance to use it. Location was really good and we could walk to restaurants and bars. Parking at the garage was easy and a quick walk. Highly recommend this rental.
House over all was well kept, the kitchen had very minimal cooking supplies which made it difficult to cook. The basement room was clean however their where Mouse droppings on the floor. Outside where the trash can are kept, saw Mutiple mice back there threw out the day. other than that, the house was good
The house was a nice size for our group and we enjoyed the rooftop deck. When we arrived, there was water in many places - bathroom counters, bathroom floors - and it smelled strongly of chemicals. We assumed it was because it had only recently been cleaned even though we arrived two hours past check-in.
The dishwasher was full of dishes and lots of soap bubbles. We later realized those bubbles were because there was no dishwasher detergent, only regular dishwashing liquid.
Several towel bars are missing or broken and the towels themselves really need to be replaced. They are thin and worn.
We appreciated the host providing K Cups but they were all flavored sweet coffees. We went back out and bought some of our own.
We didn't cook so cannot comment on the kitchen supplies. there was no shampoo or other toiletries, just body wash and liquid hand soap - no bar soap.
we couldn't get the house cooled. The thermostat was hard to deal with. Luckily it cooled off at night and several of us were able to sleep with windows open.
Great place! Exactly as described and portrayed in photos. Easy check-in and check-out processes. Matt was super communicative and an all-around great host. Would rent again!
Great location, very walkable. Large enough to accomodate 8 of us comfortably. Three of the rooftop chairs were broken, which was a disappointment as the view was lovely. We'd stay there again.
Great location. Nice place. Clean and comfortable. Great for a large group. We had nine and were not crowded at all. Parking is a problem with a larger vehicle that won't fit into the parking garage nearby. Try the open parking on Pine St if you have a large high roof vehicle.
This property is on a side street so it is very quiet and in an area filled with professionals. It is very roomy with a nice bedroom/bathroom on the basement level, the main floor has the kitchen with all the amenities like dishes, pots/pans, a keurig, large fridge and freezer. It also has a nicely sized living room with two large tvs. The second floor has two bedrooms with a total of 3 very comfortable beds and a full bathroom. The third floor has a bedroom with a connected full bathroom and another bed tucked away in another area. There is also an arcade game up there as well. There is a set of stairs that lead up to a nice roof deck which we didn’t get to use because of the weather but it is spacious! If we ever return to Philadelphia I would not stay anywhere else because it is within a few minutes walk from a lot of neat stuff like Rita’s water ice, WaWa ( IYKYK), plus corner delis, several restaurants and coffee shops etc. Our host was extremely responsive although we didn’t really need anything because they had everything ready to go. If I were to have wanted anything that wasn’t available I would suggest a book of some kind that we could have written a thank you note in and well wishes to all the future guests. Parking is not available on site but for 25/day there is a well run parking garage a short walk away on South Street.
Absolutely loved the time we spent at the Mo-Lay (renamed for Mexican chocolate sauce instead of the vac it) residence. Relaxing, clean, charming and beautiful views from roof deck. Owner was responsive to all our needs including a minor emergency! Highly recommend this rental for anyone with a large group needing a great place to stay in Phil!
A group of us got together for the weekend and this house was exactly what we were looking for. The host is exceptionally quick in responding, the house is in great shape and the amenities were fantastic. If I return to the area I’ll likely book this house again.
Loved it and looked forward to coming back to the property for the evening. All the beds and furniture were super comfortable. Host was very easy to communicate with if I had any questions. I didn’t bring a car but was a convenient and pleasant walking distance from anywhere I needed to go in the evening
