Treat yourself to a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Corbières, nestled among forests, mountains, and Cathar villages. In Albières, unspoiled nature and authentic charm invite you to slow down. Set out to explore the hiking trails that wind through the rolling landscapes of the Corbières. At every turn, you’ll be amazed by breathtaking panoramic views. Nearby, the Château d’Arques will transport you back to medieval times. For history buffs, Rennes-le-Château, as well as the Château de Peyrepertuse and its ruins perched on a rocky ridge, are must-sees. Also discover the Gorges de Galamus, a spectacular natural site where you can go hiking or canyoning. Finally, visit Lagrasse, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. The 14-hectare estate, located 2 km from the village, features a Zen-inspired interior and is set in a natural setting amid meadows and woods, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing stay. The owners live on the property and will be happy to share their passion for this region with you. On the ground floor: - Large living room/kitchen, opening onto the terrace with outdoor furniture. - Bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be joined to form a 180-cm bed. - Above the living room, an open mezzanine with a desk and a single bed. On the half-level: - Bathroom with toilet. - Bedroom with a 160-bed. Upstairs: - Bedroom with two 90-beds that can be joined to form an 180-bed, opening onto a balcony with breathtaking views. The cottage is equipped with air conditioning, which can be used depending on electricity availability. From the ground-floor terrace, you can enjoy the private above-ground pool (4.70 m in diameter, 1.30 m deep). Parking is available next to the cottage. Pets are welcome, but please note that you are on a farm with other animals, so responsible behaviour is required. In the summer, volunteers stay in a section of the farm (about 200 metres from the cottage) to help care for the animals, tend to the trees, and assist with various projects. They will sleep in tents and RVs. The manager will maintain the ponds as well as the plants and trees in and around the cottage.
