Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
When you exit the front door to leave the property on check-out, please ring the doorbell and give us a "wave" so we can notify the cleaners the house is ready for cleaning. Thanks.
Please make sure your pet is on a leash when walking for their safety. There are wild animals in the area, coyotes and bobcats. They will leave your pet alone if you are with them.
If your stay includes a Wednesday morning, please take the outdoor trash bin down to the road by the end of the driveway for pickup in the afternoon. Please bring up to the house after pickup.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not to start a fire on last day. DO NOT leave fire burning in either the fireplace or woodstove. Charcoal grill coals are completely out.
No Smoking or vaping: This is a smoke-free home. Any lingering smoke odor in the house after departure will cause loss of damage deposit.
No parties with numerous attendees not part of the booking are allowed.

My family had a very nice stay and enjoyed Christmas morning in the comfortable living room. The location was convenient to all the activities we wanted to do in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas, with the bonus of some great local hikes as well. The rooms were comfortable, plenty of common space to spread out and the peace and quiet at night was amazing. A great base for exploriting or just relaxing.

Family hiking trip

What a Great Place!

This home on a hill in Placitas was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has all the amenities and the owners genuinely care about your experience. The views are absolutely incredible and the location can't be beat. Our whole group is glad we chose this property.

Amazing views

This place is amazing and even better than advertised. This mountainous neighborhood is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. We had a couple fires in the chiminea and spent hours gazing at the stars and Jupiter through the telescope in the courtyard. 12/10 will absolutely stay here again if ever in the area again.

New Mexico Getaway

We wanted to see both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This location was nearly in the middle and worked out great for us. The house is roomy and courtyard was great for the morning and the rocking chairs were perfect to watch the sunset. Very quiet neighborhood.

Just a few highlights: 1. Clean and very spacious - inside and out. 2. Rooms were nicely decorated, functional and comfortable including the beds. 3. Beautiful house and property!

We loved our stay at Michelle and Richard’s property. The house was clean, organized and contained everything we could have needed. We also really loved all the beautiful art work on the walls. It all felt very authentic. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and enjoying the sunrise & sunset with the stunning views they have. We also hiked everyday very close to the property. Would highly recommend staying here, we hope to be back!

Wonderful relaxing stay!

We stayed here to visit the balloon fiesta, which was so fun! We were 3 couples and there was plenty of space and it was very clean. Many nice touches. We spent time relaxing outside on the veranda which had amazing views. Played games, watched football, bird watched and went for walks. We were surprised how tranquil and quiet it was out there! Really enjoyed our time and everything was just as described. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of amenities. Local grocery was perfect for our needs. Thank you so much for everything!

Great Mountain Views

From the beginning, Randy was very communicative about his property. All of his messages were thoughtful and on point. His goal was for us to have a great time in New Mexico. The property was just as described. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. My boys love the board games and comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again, if we take another trip to the area.

The ARTWORK is amazing, both the paintings and the photographs! You know when an owner is willing to share their love the home is special! The beds were incredibly comfortable! Michelle and I have recently retired and live within a half mile of the property. Michelle is an artist and you will notice several of her works on the walls of the house. I am a geologist and avid bird and nature photographer. You will see that we have decorated the house with photos from the area. All of the wall art is available for purchase if desired.

Why they chose this property

Gorgeous views of the Jemez Mountains and mesas overlooking the Rio Grande Valley. Cabezon is a volcanic mountain about 40 miles away and is prominent in Navajo tribal legends. Hiking trails begin at the end of our street and wind into the Placitas Open Space. This is a mountain biking mecca and you will see a lot of riders in the area.
