We enjoyed staying at this house while we were in the Fredericksburg area. It housed 10 people (8 adults, 2 children) comfortably. The property is lovely! We were just 5 minutes from town and about 25-30 minutes from Enchanted Rock.
We did have a little trouble getting into the house at one point during our stay due to the electric lock failing. The owner responded right away and solved our problem seamlessly.
A few notes:
- This property is on the highway. There isn't tons of traffic and the house is not right on the road, but if road noise bothers you then bring ear plugs/a noise machine.
- The stairs to the upper two bedrooms are somewhat steep (it is an old farmhouse!). But with two bedrooms on the main floor that wasn't an issue for us.
- The bedroom with the king bed and futon is a passthrough- it opens up to the kitchen on one side and to the carport on the other. This room is also where the laundry access is. If you want to not have folks go through this area they can go through the front door, but going through this space is more convenient.
This is a great place to stay for a larger group wanting a little room to spread out a bit outside- with the larger property, the enclosed front yard, the fire pit, and the hot tub, we had just as good of a time at the property as we did when we went out exploring.
