The amount and variety of books and games was amazing for the adults and the children. My grandchildren in particular loved the books. The variety of options of things to do onsite and in the area worked great for our multigenerational group.
The stay was awesome....except the weather LOL. The house was relaxing and well appointed. An excellent place to escape! Only issue was the gas fire place was out of service but everything else was perfect.
We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Shiloh Lodge. Being next to the river was awesome and we loved the awning on the deck. Diana is a great host and was quick to respond with any questions we had.
We had a fantastic time here! The house is conveniently located near the river, making it easy to go fishing or kayaking. It’s also just a 20-minute drive into Luray, where you can explore the caverns or discover all the other attractions this charming little town has to offer. The house has comfortable beds and living spaces, and my crew especially enjoyed the house slippers. Overall, it was a great stay for the price.
Diana was an amazing host. Responded very quickly with whatever we needed during our stay. Home looks just like the pictures. My son loved having the canoe and being able to get into the river whenever!
We loved the property. The view of the river is gorgeous. We did go in the river and it was so clear we could see the bottom. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. If we come back to Luray we hope to come again.
Our hosts thought of everything! Great communication and the house had everything we needed. Our son loved being right by the river and hanging out by the fire pit to make s’mores.
This home was perfect for our stay. The views from the home are spectacular. Diana was so nice and extremely easy to communicate with. This was one of the best stocked homes for guests that we have ever been to. Thank you so much!
The photos are accurate, this is a beautiful home with a very responsive and welcoming host. Very comfortable layout. Remote and peaceful. River is fun for fishing, boating and 30 mins to hiking. Highly recommend.
A beautifully appointed home right on the Shenandoah River. Kitchen fully stocked. The back deck was glorious with a wonderful view of the river and tremendous bird viewing. If preferred there were rocking chairs inside with river views without the insects. The owners thought of everything and were available to answer any questions via the VRBO app. Close to the National Park and great hiking and just far enough from town to feel surrounded by nature. A great week!
This was a great cabin right on the river! It was so easy to get to. The priority is beautiful and it was so peaceful. The fire pit was nice to chill at the end of the day. The accommodations at the cabin were plentiful .I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
A home away from home! We had a fabulous stay - doing day hikes in the national park (Thornton Gap is an easy 30min drive) and spending family time cooking, playing games in the evenings. We appreciated all the nice details Diana arranged for our stay. So glad we chose this location!
We had a fantastic weekend at this property. The house is lovely, located in a peaceful area that’s perfect for unwinding. The river access was a highlight—we swam, relaxed, and truly enjoyed the serene surroundings. The view from the deck is absolutely gorgeous. It’s an excellent place to disconnect, recharge, and take in the natural beauty.
Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at Shiloh House! The river is right outside and the house is on stilts, which meant breathtaking views every day! The house is super spacious and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need and very well organized, the games, the books, the seating areas... all very thoughtfully arranged and selected. We took out the canoes every day and it couldn't have been easier. Easy communication with Diana with effortless entry and exit. Definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful weekend, just what we needed. Relaxing and beautiful house and scenery. Diana was very communicative and responsive and gave great recommendations for things to do in the area. Hope to go back again.
This is one the nicest, cleanest properties we’ve stayed, ever. It was well taken care of, very clean, in a great location, and well stocked. We’ve been coming to Luray for many years and have stayed in many homes. This is at the top of our list and we will definitely be coming back. Communication with the owners was great and this was a wonderful trip. We only wish it was longer!
The Shiloh Lodge was great for me and my two grown children. The rooms were perfect, Diana was the most communicative host I have ever had! She was very helpful with any requests we had. The canoes and kayaks around the river were amazing! Would highly recommend this place to friends!
