Creekside Mountain Cabin is a beautiful rustic mountain home located in Mosquito Gulch, just North of Fairplay and South of Alma in Park County - only 25 miles from Breckenridge! This charming 3 bedroom and 2 bath home is very secluded and on a heavily wooded property that offers direct access to the creek and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Mosquito Gulch is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property. Additionally, the wetland area located less than a mile from the home is one of the few areas where you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat.

The home has a cozy living area that features a wood-burning fireplace with a large stone hearth, a flat-screen TV and comfortable seating. The home boasts a well stocked, cheerful kitchen with everything you will need to cook your favorite meals and an open dining area with seating for 6-8. The ground level Master Bedroom has a Queen size bed, ample closet space and large windows that offer beautiful woodland views with a full bathroom easily accessible from the central hallway. The first floor bathroom has a single basin vanity, toilet and standard size bathtub/shower.

The Second floor offers 2 comfortable bedrooms and a full bathroom. The bathroom has a single basin vanity, toilet and standard size bathtub/shower. Both of the upstairs bedrooms have bunks that feature Full size beds on the bottom and standard Twin size beds on the top, with plenty of closet storage, and in-room access to the elevated deck with its breathtaking tree top views. The quiet and secluded deck is the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee and for safely viewing all the wildlife that might be roaming the property.

The outdoor area is spectacular with a spacious wrap-around deck, a large gas grill, plenty of patio furniture, a covered picnic gazebo, children's playground equipment and pathways that lead directly to the creek- ALL WITH SPECTACULAR MOUNTAIN VIEWS! Satellite TV, local phone and games are provided for the guests.
The driveway is plowed in the winter and the roadways are maintained by the county, but 4-wheel drive vehicles are required from November through May due to the frequent snow storms in this area.

Nice enough but overpriced
The property was decent enough, just overpriced for what you get. Listing says two queens w/ bunks but they were full beds, not queens so be prepared if you're an adult with a partner. Part of the road in and the driveway have not been graded so low clearance vehicles need to be aware of large rocks and deep pits everywhere. The indoor fire place was quite nice though and the outdoor fire pit was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay, just feel like we overpaid considering the property condition.

Creekside Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The sound of the water along the edge of the property was really nice, along with the gas fire pit outside. My son liked exploring the vicinity and discovering animal tracks. The mattresses were too soft for our older bones, but we enjoyed the rustic feel of the cabin and the back deck, as well as playing games with our family at the large table inside.

Breckenridge Ski Trip
My family and I booked this property for a weekend ski trip to Breckenridge and had mixed feelings with this VRBO. The positives: - Plenty of sleeping space - Manageable drive to Breckenridge as long as there is not significant fresh snowfall - Full kitchen - Fireplace in the living room The negatives: - even in a SUV we got stuck once and nearly stuck again trying to get back to this house -1st time - Google Maps has inaccurate directions to this location and has you turn down County Rd 12-A off County Rd 12. DO NOT DO THIS! Ask the VRBO host for accurate directions before arrival. - 2nd time (almost) - the second time actually came while we were leaving the house on the way back to the airport, when the wind had drifted the snow over Park City Rd overnight. These backroads are not plowed frequently and that can cause an issue with fresh snow or drifting from the wind. We were able to make it through the drifts, but it was an uncomfortable moment. There was also no shovel at the house that we could have used to dig our way out.
