We are based in the south of France and have been in love with Cap Ferret for over 10 years. After a long search, we finally found this house, which quickly became a place we return to throughout the year as a family.

We enjoy simple things: nature, the ocean, cycling through the pine forests, and the unique rhythm of life on the peninsula. Cap Ferret feels both grounding and inspiring to us, and over time it has become a place of real connection and rest.

We enjoy sharing this home because we know how meaningful it can be to slow down and spend time in such a special environment. As travelers ourselves, we value warm, personal hospitality, and we try to offer the same feeling to our guests: a place that is easy to live in, welcoming, and cared for.

We chose the Dunes de Piquey neighborhood because it offers something rare on the Cap Ferret peninsula: peace, privacy, and a true connection to nature, while still being close to everything.

The house is surrounded by pine trees in a quiet residential area, where the rhythm is slow and the atmosphere feels protected and calm. You wake up to the sound of the ocean in the distance and the scent of the forest, with light shifting beautifully through the trees throughout the day.

What we love most is the balance: you are immersed in nature, yet just a short bike ride from both the Atlantic beaches and the villages of the peninsula. It feels like a hidden corner of Cap Ferret, where you can truly disconnect without ever feeling isolated.

What makes our home unique is first and foremost its setting: a stilted wooden house immersed in pine trees, in one of the most peaceful and sought-after areas of Cap Ferret. It offers a rare feeling of being “in nature,” while still being close to beaches, villages, and everyday amenities.

The house itself was designed for our own family use, which is why it feels simple, warm, and easy to live in. It is not a large luxury villa, but a carefully thought-out home where comfort, light, and functionality matter more than size or excess.

It is especially appreciated by families and couples who enjoy open-air living, long breakfasts on the terrace, cycling through the forest, and the contrast between the wild Atlantic Ocean and the calm Bay of Arcachon just minutes away.
