Nice little place if we would have been able to use it. We got there and everything was great. We freshened up and went for dinner. When we returned the battery had died on the electric gate to get in… so I had to find a hotel in town for the night. When I brought this up I was called a liar pretty much by both the property manager as well as the owner? I even have video!!!
On the way out I suspected a problem when it took several tries to get the gate to open in order to get out.
So I look at VRBO and they have a guarantee that states if you cannot access the property a refund will be made…
Don’t believe that for a minute!
I will NEVER use this service again and I will be sure to let everyone I know not to use the service.
I am sure there are some legitimate rentals out there but I am not into gambling. Then to be called a liar after showing and sharing the video was appalling!
I don’t recommend this place or any other VRBO property.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 June 2023
When the gate was check it was working just fine. The video that was sent to us showed the guests hitting the buttons over and over again. The owners have had no problems with the gate. A refund was given We are sorry that the guests were not happy. We strive to keep all guests happy and that all of the properties that we manage are kept up and nice.
Very rustic old cabin is just what we were looking for to spend our anniversary. Quiet and nothing but crickets. We love it being so far out of town. The ONLY thing I would change is for the TV to have an antenna for news but other than that it was perfect. Thank you so much!
