This place is as advertised and then some. Breathtaking views and sunsets. The vibe is more serene than you can imagine. The owners were helpful, friendly, and responsive. We already decided to come back next year.

Great peaceful retreat

The lake setting is very peaceful and the great room allows you to feel part of the natural setting even when you are inside. Would definitely live to stay here again.

Font lake property offered us a unique opportunity to relax and enjoy the water and be in nature. Marybeth and Mike are excellent and gracious hosts who enjoy sharing their family’s retreat. Thank you so much for this opportunity. It was a incredible experience!

Peaceful Retreat

We loved our stay here! The property managers are amazing and so helpful. Coming to Beaver Island for the first time, we feel like we found a little Gem that we didn't know existed. Getting to the island can be a challenge but worth the trip. Shout outs to Fresh Air Aviation charter service and Burtons rental car company. This property is amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the lake house in the woods. The lake view is wonderful. It is so relaxing. Nothing better than a cup of coffee on the dock in the morning, or on the sun porch or in the living room looking at the lake! It was a dream! Loved being able to take the Kayaks out on the lake whenever we wanted. Enjoyed several of the islands hiking trails. We were a bit too early in the season (June 12-18) to enjoy the beaches, but they are beautiful! The house is located in a private woods with no close neighbors. It was nice to truly have peace and quiet. However with that being said the Wi-Fi in the house was spot on and we had no trouble with getting a cellular signal. So we could have the quiet, but still be connected if we chose to be. For the outdoor enthusiast this is the place to be! We also enjoyed the beautiful night sky, the stars are amazing even right off the porch. Thanks for having us!!

Solitude on Font Lake

We have stayed at many locations on the island, and this place is definately the best place we have stayed at so far. It's less than a mile from town, but the 1/2 mile drive down a dirt road to the house makes you feel like you are completely escaping from everything. An extremely quiet and private setting right on Font Lake, you can't help but relax. Great hosts, great location, and a great rate for this spacious home. Thank you.

Great location - easy drive to town by car or bike. Perfect setup for families. It was nice to have the canoe and kayaks to explore the lake.
