Great view! Perfect location for the wedding we were attending. Slight hiccup with key pad when we first arrived but smooth and comfortable stay after that! Great communication from the hosts! Would definitely stay there again for future visits to the lake!
Stayed 4 great days while heading home from Canada. The house was clean, the deck overlooked Lake Mi with an absolutely beautiful view. The beach was a short walk from the house & we hiked each morning & relaxed with a bottle of wine on the deck every night. Peaceful & quiet neighborhood, would stay here again in a heartbeat.Kathy

glad you enjoyed your stay!
Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. A very private beach and just a short walk through the sandy dunes to the beach. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this house for our next vacation. Perfect communication by the owners and there were no surprises for us! Wonderful memories, awesome photos for us, and on the beach every day!

Thank you for your positive feedback Eric, and so glad you enjoyed your stay. You're absolutely welcome back next year!
We were in town for a family reunion and rented this house for our family of five. Even though I grew up coming to Whitehall for summer vacations, I never knew this area existed. The house was beautiful, the beaches where perfect, and the hosts were very accommodating and communicated very well. We are already planning to return next year!

Glad you enjoyed your stay Jason - looking forward to having you back!
We rented the house for a golf trip to the West Side of the state. The place fit our needs perfectly. It was really nice to sit out on the front deck and relax after golfing and enjoying the fantastic views.
Great Home. Great Location. Great View. Great Beach.
This home was perfect for our one week stay in mid-June. It's very clean, in good working order, and had plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. The view of Lake Michigan is unobstructed. Getting to the beach can be a bit challenging for small children. But the effort is worth it, as the beach is big and very few people use it. The town of Montague is nearby and offers everything you might need. It was a relaxing and worry-free week!

My family and I enjoyed quiet time and relaxation, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our 7 year old by our side. The view from the home was spectacular also sunsets were just breathtaking.
The house is very nice and is located at the end of a deadend street. Gorgeous views of Lake Michigan and close, easy beach access. Plenty of things to do within 30 minutes. Good wifi. Nice neighbors. Would definitely stay here again.

Hi Angela. Happy to hear you had a good stay. Hopefully we'll see you next summer.
The property was excellent. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Very comfortable with beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the deck. Owners responsive to all questions. Highly recommended.
We loved our week in Montague. The property has a great location with an easy walk to the beach. The sand is soft and the beach is very clean. The views from the house are amazing.
The house was very well kept and clean. A generous amount of towels including beach towels were provided, which we appreciated. Can't wait to be back!

Glad you enjoyed your stay Kirsten. See you back next year!
Our family unanimously decided this was our favorite vacation spot to date. The cottage was exactly as described in the listing, very clean, nicely decorated, well stocked with necessities, & it offers a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan. The walk to the sandy beach & clear water was no more than a couple of minutes & well worth it. Communicating with our hosts, Michael & Ivana, was easy as they responded to questions quickly & made the process from booking the reservation to checkout simple. We would definitely recommend this location & hope to be back again next summer. Thank you, Michael & Ivana, for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

really glad you enjoyed your stay Michelle. hope you see you again next year!
This house is perfect for a quiet, peaceful get-away. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the deck, and a cute little fawn visited a few times in the tall bluff grasses next to the deck. Beds were comfortable, and Michael and Ivana were very friendly and made themselves available for any questions or problems.
Just FYI if you're planning a stay here: The only pantry items available were salt and pepper, and you might want to bring along a box of kleenex. And just in case it makes a difference to you, the long private road leading to the house has many speed bumps, which might be a consideration if you have a sensitive person in the car. The repeated jarring of the car- even when crossing the bumps from a complete stop- was difficult for a family member who had just had major surgery.
The beds were comfortable, and all the rooms nicely decorated; a very welcoming place to stay. Overall, this was a wonderful place for us.

Glad you all enjoyed your staying Molly. We don't leave any food products in the pantry for hygiene safety reasons but I'll certainly think about adding more paper products. Thanks for the feedback.
We rented this house in Lost Valley for a period of two weeks in August 2024. The house is located in the second line of houses from the beach, halfway up the dunes. The view from the deck is great: you see roofs of houses in the first line but this house is much higher so you also see Lake Michigan. We enjoyed several beautiful sunsets with friends and family and a glass of wine.
Even though the house is halfway up the dunes, there is a driveway that goes up and ends by the house so it is easy to unload luggage and groceries--and passengers. It was ideal for us since climbing uphill is challenging for some of us. The house has a combined living room/kitchen and a bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room on the first floor, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. The beds slept well, the kitchen was fully equipped, and everything worked the way it should. And there is a beautiful Lake Michigan beach a short walk away!
The owners are very kind and helpful. We met Michael shortly after we arrived and called him once when we could not find something and had an immediate response. The bottom line is that we had a perfect time during our stay in this house and we are ready to do it again.
Wonderful hosts! A tree fell on our original VRBO and they could not have been more accommodating in helping with a last-minute rental for my extended family. I came in from NY with my two teen daughters and my parents.
The cottage is welcoming and beachy, up above street level so it has a beautiful lake view and soft breeze from the large deck. It is all VERY clean, and the kitchen and laundry are complete and ready for use. The owners have installed new a/c units in both the living room and front bedroom to help with the warm evening sun. The warmest room is the back bedroom, but my teens were perfectly happy to just run the box fan. There are many places to sleep and all of the beds were well-made and comfortable.
We were able to use both beach access points with ease depending which family members were going to the water. The beaches are private to the Association and therefore not very busy! The driveway is steep, but on the days my mom was going to the beach we just drove her down the driveway and used the beach access that has about 20 stairs.
There are plenty of games and a smart tv available but, who am I kidding, we were there for the soft sand and Big Lake. Thanks to these Michael and Ivana for creating a beautiful home away from home for my family!
Our stay was great. Home is very clean and the deck is expansive. Pictures really do not do it justice!
When we walked in the home it sorta took our breath away...it was very bright, clean and open with incredible views from all the windows. Its nestled away and right on Lake Mi. Enjoy beautiful sunsets right from the deck. The beach is just a small walk down the driveway and a few houses away. It is a steep driveway, because you're tuck into a bluff but it isnt a bad walk and it took no time at all to walk there. Also loved that you cam drive right up to the house, as not all the homes there have that option. No stars to hike up which makes it more desirable to me. The house had everything we needed. We were able to log into our own accounts to stream TV shows and movies. Sometimes cell service was spotty. There are some books and games there too. Owner made herself available right away and was very responsive. Loved the location. The town Montague was cute, not a ton of shopping like other beach towns but had things you need and some dining options. Recommend The Book Nook, The soda fountain, Papa's Pizza and Peckadills. Within 30 mins either way gets you to other ideal destinations to visit too: Pentwater, Silver Lake, Muskegon. Would definitely recommend and would look forward to staying again!

Thank you for the review Cynthia. Really glad you enjoyed yourself!
The house was nice, very clean and exactly as advertised. The view was phenomenal and loved that we could use the neighborhood private beach. It is a bit far to the nearest town, but the drive is very pretty. Would visit again.
My family and I (5 adults & 3 kids under 10) had a great week at the property. We had a short walk to an very quiet beautiful beach. We were able to be on the beach all day and enjoy family meals at the house before returning to soak in beautiful sunsets. We took day trips to Muskegon and to Ludington as well which were very reasonable drives for our crew. Both the indoor and outdoor space fit our group well and we wouldn't hesitate to rent the space again. We have rented VRBOs homes for vacation for the last 7 summers and this ranks as one of the best!
