We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great. Close to the riverfront and lots of fun restaurants and bars. The house has plenty of beds for a large family or group of friends. There’s not a lot of room to hang out in the living room, but we pulled chairs in from the dining room. There is a park almost directly across the street for those who enjoy walking. The host sent plenty of i formation about check-in and answered all of my questions. The house is older and could use some renovations, but overall it is nice!
While we were glad to find a place to stay that would accommodate our family for a reasonable price, we were disappointed in the cleanliness and overall property management. The sewer backed up in the basement, spilling into the carpet of the bedroom where people were sleeping. We contacted the host who did respond in a timely way but said he’d look into it after we left. Other concerns include the 40 rusty nails and other hardware we picked out of the back yard, ants on the kitchen counter and bathtub, and a garage door that wouldn’t stay shut. Overall, the house was fine but not as well cared for as I expect from a vrbo.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry the plumbing issue occurred during your stay. Once we were notified, we responded quickly, communicated with you, and took the concern seriously. This was an unexpected sewer/drain backup, and we have since had the issue addressed and completed additional inspection and cleanup. We also reviewed the other concerns mentioned, including the yard, pest control, garage door, and household supplies, to make sure the property is better prepared for future guests. We appreciate you staying with us and regret that this impacted your experience
The property was perfect for 5 adults. Plenty of room and beds. The location is close enough to bars, entertainment, and the casino. Being able to use the garage was a bonus. No issues.
We were here for a family reunion. Great for large group for sleeping accommodations. Really no place to take a walk around the neighborhood so not really a place to hang out.
We had the spacial bonus of being so close to the festival of lights! Our adult kids and partners all piled into one car to enjoy the show. It was a great trip down memory lane
Everything was just as advertised and planned. Matthew is a great host and was very responsive to messages. Would stay here again if available when visiting Morton.
Great location - near the highway so it's easy to get around, and close to a lot of grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants. The only thing is that I would put a slight hit on the beds. Not really comfortable and noisy if you move around.
The property was well kept with some age related wear. The property mgr was very responsive and communicated all needed info in a timely manner. Would stay here again if I find myself in the area.
Property was very nice and amenities were well provided. Some little ants in the house. Several of the lights/lamps did not work and the door knobs were loose and one of the barn doors would not move on its track. These were just minor inconveniencess though and didn't detract from the overall experience. The house was very nice and affordable. Good location too.
