This is a beautiful house in a very lovely, private, wooded setting on the ridge above Inverness. There’s a nice view too. It was perfect for our family. It’s quick to get to Point Reyes and a wonderful base to explore the area. We didn’t have cell reception, but the Wi-Fi worked great and we preloaded the driving directions in town and had no problem finding it. I would recommend arriving in daylight as it could be trickier finding it in the dark.
Franks place is a comfortable, welcoming place to stay in a gorgeous setting with a beautiful view. The whole house is well equipped with all the amenities and necessities one might need. We very much enjoyed our stay and can understand why this house has so many repeat renters. The library is truly amazing and can keep you browsing for a very, very long time. It was hard to leave.....
We had a fabulous time staying at this property. It is equipped with everything you need for a getaway vacation. We loved that the bookshelves were stocked with wonderful, interesting books. We love books! This is the perfect location for exploring the coastline, Point Reyes and the little towns nearby. Hiking the Sky Trail was absolutely amazing. The beds were comfortable and the towels smelled fresh. It really was a perfect three night getaway.
Frank’s Place is a true gem in Inverness. The owners and the innkeepers go out of their way to make your stay the best possible experience. We cannot wait to return next year!
The house is so special. Comfortable, elegant, thoughtfully managed. West Marin is heavenly and this is an ideal place to gather with friends and family.
Frank’s Place has been our home away from home during our annual trip to Marin/Sonoma Co. for the past 15 years. it’s a good home base location from which to do day trips and hikes in the area. Great for families and we’ve made many beautiful family memories there over the years. When our oldest graduated from HS we offered a special trip (Europe, Asia, the Caribbean etc) but he chose - Frank’s Place! He goes to school out of state and said it made him sad to think of not going there for summer. Beyond grateful that Scott shares this slice of heaven with families like ours. For those with mobility issues, consider that it is a multilayer property. We travel with our 87 year old grandpa and he does just fine, but he’s also in great physical shape, and loves staying at Frank’s Place. We all do!
The house was large enough to comfortably accommodate everyone who gathered for my birthday. We enjoyed having ample kitchen space to prepare our meals. Wonderful views and hot tub!
The house is spectacularly located high above Tomales Bay. It is spacious and comfortable and very clean. A wonderful place to spend a few vacation days with family.
Peaceful, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and view. Quiet. Close enough to Pt Reyes Station to visit with no trouble. Far enough away to feel removed from tourism or weekend crowd. Private.
This house is perfect for a relaxing vacation. Beautiful views from every window and deck. Lots of birds visited the feeder. Very quiet area. We had everything we needed in this accommodation.
Loved Loved loved Frank’s place . Could spend hours enjoying the birds at the well placed feeder.
It’s a well situated home on a wooded plot with lovely views .
Frank’s Place has been our family’s home away from home for over a decade. It is in a safe, peaceful and beautiful area of CA. It is well appointed and very comfortable. Easy from check in to check out. It’s a good home base for so many andve and trails in the area. Our family includes teens and grandparents and everyone always comes away with happy memories and a plan to return to Frank’s Place.
It as a wonderful visit. The house is warm and inviting. Lots of windows and a great view. The floor plan is open and spacious. The bedrooms were very nice with beautiful views and comfy beds.
This was our fourth time staying at Frank's Place. We were lucky to be there during one of the big storms. It was the perfect place to be because of the warmth, coziness, and beautiful scenery. The owners go out of their way to make your stay five stars. We will be back next year.
Beautiful spacious house with easy access to Pt Reyes
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Frank’s Place. The house is spacious and airy, with beautiful views of Tomales Bay from 2 different decks. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the hot tub was a wonderful plus. Easy access to Pt Reyes Station and Pt Reyes National Seashore. This was my 4th stay at Frank’s Place and I hope to go back again and again!
Frank’s Place was such a wonderful stay! So incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Scott was a wonderful host and was very accommodating. The inn keeper was also very helpful and ensured that we had a wonderful stay. Frank’s Place had so many special touches, including for our pups. The bed was incredibly comfortable which is important for someone with back problems. And the hot tub was the perfect touch after long days of hiking. We would definitely stay again.
