Private Pool! No stairs to climb! Welcome to West Wind! This classic Island beach cottage has been fully renovated and reimagined for 2025. Features include; 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, large sundecks overlooking the beach, poolside cabana, outdoor shower, and so much more!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Westwind is a beautiful house but it is lacking some is actually set up more like a hotel than a home! I’ll start with the most important. The front and back entrances are both dangerous going out due to the step down that is not obvious because the floor is the same color. . The pool deck furniture is nice but there needs to be more of it. Same for the open deck in back. There is a nice grill but no grilling utensils. The furniture is very comfortable. Beautiful view. Overall it is a great house but someone should have it stocked like most of the rentals in the area. We had a great time and would stay there again.

Our experience couldn't have been better. This property is as advertised. Impeccably designed, thoughtfully furnished, immaculately clean, and mere steps from the water. If you're looking for a great beach vacation, book this house. Westwind is as good as it gets. I've included a photo of the sunrise from the back porch. We'll be back!

My recommendation would be invest in a good stick vacuum, water hose and a luggage rack for the two master bedrooms, so your suitcase does not have to sit on the floor. This home was top-notch.

wonderful house!

We were one of the first to stay in this house after the renovations and it is truly fabulous! The decor/furnishings are beautiful... it's really nice to have everything on one floor... the pool is wonderful... and the location can't be beat! We'll definitely be back!

Reviewer Comments: We love Westwind when proximity to the beach is a priority (like for any fisherman among us, and any in our party who don’t like schlepping beach gear a long way, and anyone who dislikes stairs) and enjoyed this return visit (probably our 4th or 5th stay).Suncoast was very good to work with generally, and particularly when Hurricane Idalia came through in the middle of our first week. Communication was good (email), and they inspected the property quickly and gave us the go-ahead to return the day after the hurricane passed through. That saved part of our group another night in a hotel.Tweaks needed:Property wasn’t ready until 5:00. :(One of the big picture windows is cloudy and should already have been replaced. This is my main “complaint.” Looks bad and really mars the property’s main view, which is one of the main reasons for paying for a beachfront property. So that was very disappointing. And better monitor the window near the pass- through. It’s starting to cloud up.Sheets on master bedroom bed were badly pilled and very rough. They need to be replaced.Only cutting board is a glass one which is obnoxiously noisy to use (knives grate against it when cutting.). It’s cute and beachy, but please buy a couple of inexpensive plastic boards that are much more practical and user- friendly. Otherwise, the kitchen is very well-equipped.

It has been maintained well although the mattresses need to be replaced. The kitchen is well-stocked and please note that the left front burner on the stove has one setting = scorch. Great if you want to boil water. The management company was great to work with and just a lovely group of people.

Magnificently Splendid

Reviewer Comments: We instantly fell in LOVE with this house! 3 weeks prior to our arrival on the island, we were informed that our original rental was no longer available. I was very nervous about the change of houses, but Suncoast set us up with a wonderful replacement! The home was perfect for my mother as it didn't have any stairs for her to climb. The house had everything we needed to cook with which was very convenient. The kids enjoyed having their own living room area to watch TV on rainy days. I enjoyed the covered porch on those days. It was mere steps to the water making it easy for my mom and my grandkids. The beds were all comfortable, which is a big thing for us! We are planning our trip for next year, and this house is most definitely on our list!

There is plenty of room and very comfortable and very clean and well stocked ... we love that it is literally 10 steps to the beach!! There are two living areas in the house... one for the kids with a TV and one for adults to watch their shows! The only complaint is that they need a new stove... some burners worked and some did not... but we worked around it:) We just love the island... so we let nothing spoil our week!
