Relaxing, beautiful views right in the water. Loved the sound of the waves lapping on the shore, watching the many birds diving in the water for breakfast in the AM, and the proximity to downtown while feeling we were on our own little island. Brian, the host, was very helpful both while we planned our trip and while we were there. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay.
Boathouse was very clean. We loved having access to the dock and speakers for music. Views were great and host was responsive and quick in his communication.
The boat house was amazing the views are incredible. We had everything we needed. My husband and I could have stayed longer we had so much fun. Brian was so accommodating and the communication was great. Highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay at the Boat House and especially liked the panoramic view, the comfortable (and whimsical!) decor, and its location to everything.Brian, the owner, had great suggestions for dining and local attractions and was in frequent and clear communication with us from booking to departure. We are already planning a return visit!
We had a great time staying at the boathouse. Check in was easy and this cute spot on the water was the perfect size for us. The host was great and had plenty of recommendations for things to do locally. He also included a little honeymoon gift for us which was very nice. Would recommend to other guests
Great Door County getaway! Centrally located for all the amazing sightseeing. Dock & fire pit make it a great place to stay & enjoy Sturgeon Bay also. Quiet place near a state park & restaurants. Brian is welcoming & kind:)
Our stay was very comfortable and a great location to everything! Our host was so helpful sharing places to visit to eat and enjoy. On our list for a return visit for sure!
We only stayed here two nights, but had a great time and really enjoyed this cozy little boathouse. It had everything we needed and the location is perfect for quick access back to downtown Sturgeon Bay and the rest of DC. My husband fished from the dock (no luck) and we really enjoyed being able to watch boats passing by and seeing the goings on at Fincantieri across the water. Great views of the moonrise each night too. It really feels like you're floating above the water. The patio is really cute, but the patio for the house to the left is right there, so not much privacy on that side (and it was really loud the first night), but we managed. We actually liked using the little deck off the side of the boathouse to have coffee or cocktails at night. Saw a mink swim towards me and right up under the deck there one morning which was very cool. Brian is excellent at communication and responsiveness. We took his advice in the check in instructions and found an amazing park/beach that we never knew existed even after visiting DC for many years. Thanks for sharing your boathouse, Brian. It's obvious it's a special place for you. Hope to return in the future!
We had a wonderful 10-day stay at Brian’s beautiful Boathouse on Sturgeon Bay. Loved discovering all the whimsical touches throughout the light-drenched home, having a glass of wine in the evening on the waterside patio and exploring local parks and restaurants. Enjoyed just walking out the back door and to the right to Potawatomi Park, driving up the length of the Door County peninsula and taking the half-hour ferry from Northport to Washington Island where we saw the beautiful Norwegian Stavkirke church and the rocky shores of Schoolhouse Beach. Of all the great restaurants, we recommend the innovative pizzas at Wild Tomato in Sister Bay (not Fish Creek) and eating outdoors at Kitty’s Irish Pub near the Coast Guard Station and Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. Thank you, Brian, for being one of the most responsive and warmly welcoming hosts we’ve ever encountered.
The pictures do not do it justice. The view is outstanding and the sound of the water will lull you to sleep. The boat house is cozy but was perfect for me and my husband. Very close to all of the amenities of Sturgeon Bay and a short drive from the natural attractions of Door County. My husband and I are both in grad school and so had to do homework for part of the trip, and the WiFi worked great, even outside by the fire pit. Lots of great birding opportunities, we saw pelicans and loons, bring your binoculars! All in all the perfect little getaway for us.
The Boathouse was everything we were looking for….almost. The house itself was great. All the items we needed were provided and then some. We were close to so many wonderful sights and activities. The only downfall for the guys was no fish to be caught off the deck or dock, which wasn’t all bad because we enjoyed looking for fishing spots. We did end up doing a charter one day and caught some very nice bass. While the location was great the road was very busy and not many obeyed the speed limit, be careful crossing the road to get to your vehicle. All in all it was a very nice stay and the Boathouse is lovely, we would do it again.
With our friends, we planned our annual wine weekend. The "Boat House" was a charmingly decorated place to enjoy. The views were amazing during the fall season with the picturesque scenery via amazing windows. THANK YOU!
This was a 3-day stop over before we headed home after being out west for a couple of weeks. The home had lots of items for use in the kitchen and was comfortable. Close to town so easy to visit the area. Wi-Fi was good. A good place to stay.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the boathouse. The views are gorgeous and the house is full of warmth and charm. The location is convenient for exploring any and all that Door County has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!
